i'm pretty new to snus, and i use about 1 portion a day, i'm not a heavy user. i've been using catch white eucalyptus. i like the minty flavour of it, but i wonder if there is something much better that i could be using?! i don't really want to go and buy lots of different flavours to try as i probably wouldn't use them by the expiry date. any suggestions? (considering i use portions, and don't want anything too strong)

Phantom, most Offroad except Icemint, Diplomat. Anything with too much anise or Bergemot is BAD. And anything with licorice...yuck!

There's a whole lot I haven't tried yet though. When I have more time I'll look for some people that have tastes similar to mine and see what new stuff I might try.

After six months of trying a ton of brands I think my preference is leaning towards snus that is a little more heavily flavored with either mint, berries, anise, citrus etc.

Am a new snus user and must say that the mixed lot from buysnus was great and I have enjoyed them all. so far my favorites have been Offroad strong, Jakkobsen and skruf cranberry. The General silver is just to mild, also liked Kronan and LD. I wish I could buy it here

Here's my likes after a month of snussing the good stuff:


Skruf Stark Lös - Great taste, slight sweetness/saltyness (to me) packs well in the tool and holds it's shape for over an hour. Slight runnyness after an hour but, for me, that's when the flavor really kicks in.!! Great nic level as well. One of 2 "go to" lös snuses
Röda Lacket - My number 2 lös. Great mouth feel with hints of red berries and smoke flavor. This one holds together well in the tool and in the lip as well. Flavor really kicks in after about 30 minutes and stays for up to an hour and a half.
Nick & Johnny's West - My "First thing in the morning" snus. Since in the warm months I drink Monster Energy Drinks in the morning, you would think I created my own version of Elixyr PE but, the two taste really great together! We'll see how it goes with coffee next month but, I like the great tobacco flavor and the moderate saltiness. The nic hit does well first thing in the morning.
Göteborg's Rape No2 - This snus tastes just as I expected it to taste! Being half Norge, I've had cowberries and LOVE them. I get the taste right from the start. I know some of our Norge friends here may disagree but, it's been some time since I was in Norway but I sense the flavor I remember as a kid in the product. This is solely my "relax and walk down memory lane" snus. (My grandmother was born in Oslo and went there with them when I was around 10. She passed away from spinal cancer in 89. Great woman, I miss her quite a bit.)

I have others but, these are the ones included in every order. I'll post my dislikes soon. Sorry for the long post.

The Grovsnus has a really great tast. Not a strong, but the botanical flavor is something I really enjoy when I want to relax. N&J West also has great flavor, and the can is kind of cool too.

Really new to this, but I am starting to question what Snus is doing to me. I seem to have a love affair going with Nick & Johnny, Phillip Morris, Jakkobson and Knox. Where are the girl Snus names? LOL

#1 Retro White
#2 tie between N&J strong and PM.
#3 Knox, Skruf Stark, Jakkobson Ice Fruit.

I have only tried portions so far, I quit American snuff because I hated the flakes in my teeth so I will probably stay away from los. The Elyzir is the only one I have found I can't stand, I do have a couple that I can't decide whether I like them or not, like Probe Whiskey, and Gote #2.

I must confess to a new favorite in my top 5. 1847 by Philip Morris is great. I was reluctant to try it as my dad was a heavy Marlboro smoker when I was growing up, he now lives healthily and comfortably with 1 lung. I guess I was holding onto some misplaced bitterness, we all take an educated risk when we continue with our vices. First off, I'm a sucker for packaging, the PM 1847 can is the coolest I've seen so far. Nice and classy embossed steel and the used compartment rides underneath. The taste is strong and mild, if that makes sense, I'm sure those who've tried it will agree. I like it, along with Jakobbson's IceFruit portion, enough to have another large order containing plenty of both en route to me as I type

If you haven't had a chance to try 1847, I recommend it.
