OK, American smoker here converted to snus two months ago and smoke free since!!

Favorites so far:
General Onyx
General Portion
Goteborgs #1
Skruf Portion
Nick & Johnny
Gotland Yellow

OK but not the best:
Ettan
Catch Eucalyptus
Roda Lacket


Didn't Like:
Kronan
General Mint or Wintergreen
Tre ankare


Also so far I like original portion much more than white. White seems devoid of flavor and "rough" on the gums, also takes too long to get flavor.

General Wintergreen - Love the stuff, can't help but chain snus it.

Goteborgs Rape #2 - Absolutely love the taste of this one.




Ettan Los - My first los, so I can't say I love it quite yet, but I do enjoy the traditional tobacco flavor, especially when complimented by coffee!

Catch Dry Mini Licorice - I can't fault it for what it is but there is almost no nicotine kick evident in this one for me, but I do really enjoy the flavor.. I am waiting on a white portion order of these.

Catch Eucalyptus - I really enjoy the flavor of these but I have found that it sometimes comes on too strong and harsh.

Camel Frost - My first snus that intrigued me enough to do alot of research. I have retried and found almost no nicotine kick, even with two portions in.

Goteborgs Rape Portion - I do enjoy this one but I sometimes dislike the herbal flavors - have to be in the right mood.



General Portion - I can't blame this one too much for me not enjoying it as it was my first venture into the world of Swedish snus. Just waaaay too strong for me due to the juicing. I will try this one again at some point. I much prefer white portions to regular.



I have found that my tastes are adpating very quickly as I try more and more brands of snus.

After one month's sampling (I tried a couple portions of every variety that came in a few sampler boxes, and keeping a handful out of the freezer):

My preference has become flavored large portions, where both the tobacco and the flavoring stand out. I haven't settled on a preference for white or standard portions yet. I like the slow flavor development in whites, but like the flavor shock of a soggy bag too. For the time being, I'm avoiding the starks, as I'd like to keep open the option of keeping my nicotine intake moderate.

I discovered I dislike licorice snus as much as the candy. The Wise products have almost no discernable tobacco flavor, which is a virtue in the Northerner Energy snus but a negative (for me) elsewhere. The Catch Eucalyptus is sort of an exception to that rule, but I find it pretty refreshing, easily better than the Wise menthol minis.
