When I first started, I used almost only white mini portions, but have branched out into los snus. I still don't feel comfortable using los in public! But I now have a much wider variety to enjoy in private!
Portion: Nick and Johnny, Wise Citrus, Skruf tranbar, Catch dry licorice, Mocca mint
Catch coffee vanilla, catch cassis menthol
Los: Nick and Johnny, Roda, Roots licorice lime, Offroad licorice (this is so sweet I think of it as "dessert" snus!), Probe whiskey
:? Gustavus Original loose, Gotland Grey
Now I am waiting to try Skruf Stark los, as well as all the other Offraod varieties! :P
Hi there. I tested out a bunch of brands when I started snusing, but I've settled exlusively on Nick & Johnny, alternating between loose and portion. The portion, certainly, is the most consistently satisfying I've tried - and I'd pretty much given up on portion before N&J.
im still dying to get my hands on nick and johnny, but i dont want to waste money on a snus brand that i might not like. can anyone say for sure if its a good one?
I don't think it is anything special although the flavour is nice. I think it is popular because it is strong but I don't want to up my resistances to nicotine by getting used to a strong snus.
I haven't tried it myself yet (have an other own favorite of mine) but everybody else who's tried it, goes all weak in the knees for it. It's that good.
im a big fan of lucky strike, in my opinion it is one of the better snus brands
ive also had roda lacket, ettan and goteborgs rape, and of those three, i gotta say that ettan is the better snus

For me Grovsnus which i used for about a year is pure tobacco but skruf stark having bergamot and rose oil in it it seems like it would have some kind of taste. i need to try some skruf stark loose. Right now N&J loose is tops in my book. I like it better than any regular or strong snus.
hah, well you're right, I concede. I've been using nothing but skruf stark for the past few months so I guess the flavour has just become null for me, it just tastes stark to me  Still, obviously, one of my favourites 8) I'd say that bergamot is a great flavour, mind you. Earl Grey tea is fantastic!
Skruf stark is a pure-tobacco snus - no added flavours so it's pretty plain. The fact that it's extra strong gives it more of a taste of just "potent" rather than so much a tobacco taste. Not the tastiest snus, for sure, but it's got kick. Nick and Johnny has a nicer flavour for a strong snus, I think.
In contrast to Zero, I would like to say, that Skruf Stark really has a strong taste of soda and nicotine, but the main flavor, I think, is just as advertised: rose oil and bergamot.
Bergamot is a citrus fruit and a main ingredient of Eau de Cologne. I'm no real Eau de Cologne fan myself. I use it only to let small wounds heal a bit faster, which is for what the stuff originally was invented, during the Napoleonian wars. In the following, long period of peace, the manufacturers changed their "marketing strategy" and began to sell Eau de Cologne as a perfume. No joke!
Rose oil may also be uncommon to the most of us, but I come from a city, that has one of the largest rose breedings in the world in our municipal park. So, such unusual gifts, as "rose-liqueur" are sometimes given away for free by our municipal administration.
To make it short: bergamot doesn't smell too good and - believe me - one glass of rose liqueur was enough for my whole life, but the combination, as found in Skruf Stark, is just brilliant - it works for me!
Also, after about two hours, Skruf Stark Portions develope the finest pure tobacco taste, I ever got to know and at that point they still deliver enough nicotine for at least another hour.
Highly recommended, though Skruf Stark may surely not be everyone's favorite.
Chewing is definitely not a new way of enjoying tobacco - it is a rather old tradition - but the new, modern Nordic Chew is more like snus than traditional chewing tobacco. It looks the same way as Swedish snus and comes in loose form or in portions. ...
So I am a snus addict, as I am sure most of the senior members are as well. (I know a few have a stock pile of more then 100 in their freezer. I am starting...
