I agree completely. It's the only snus I've had that actually tastes like the aroma of dry tobacco in cigarettes. Other than that, I can't say it's a very satisfactory snus (nicotine-wise).
Maybe with 2 pouches at once.

Lucky Strike is no favorite of mine either, but I think it is a quality-snus with a unique and subtle flavor. I found it to be equal with the General in points of flavor-durability and nicotine-content, if not better. But, as I think, snus is quite a subjective matter.

The best suggestion IMHO is to always order only one tin of a brand, that you don't know. For some brands, I also would have regretted, if I had ordered three tins instead of one.

BTW, I couldn't stand Lucky Strike Cigs. Maybe that's why I think, their snus is o.K.

    Cheers!

The flavour of the luckies is plain - just mildly toasted, so it's not flavoured with non-tobacco flavour like general. General is also a bit stronger than most other "average" snus and skruf stark is considerably stronger than average snus. So I wouldn't say lucky is a weak snus, it's just that you're comparing it to heavier hitters.

I've only tried General, Lucky Strike and Skruf Stark so far.

Skruf is probably my favorite, really bites.

In terms of Lucky Strike, I regret having bought 3 tins. It's VERY mediocre, I think when people say this it's an understatement. The flavor doesn't last nearly as long as General at the least and I feel it doesn't deliver nicotine, I for some reason even feel General supplies me with more. So anyone who wants to try it, buy only a tin-even if you liked Lucky Strike Cigs like I did- and call it a day.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and very happy I found this forum!

I started out by ordering the "try out box" from Northerner, so I am pretty disposed towards the mini white portions:

    Portion:

Catch dry licorice, Catch dry Eucalyptus, Wise Citrus (5 stars!), Mocca Mint, Goteborg Rape Mini white

    :? Catch dry cassis menthol

    Anything non dry white

Just had my first experience with loose snus.... ops: Hilarious - probably merits a post of its own, although disclaimer will be that I am not to be held responsible for aching ribs due to too much laughter... But back to the topic, I tried RL, and really liked it. Nothing to compare it to yet though!

I noticed the heartburn feeling that you describe.

I tried the Licorice. And Picanell violet also, that is much better.

Exactly, I agree, it's a slow shoot product, with a very pleasurable and smooth impact.

Could you explain why it's not so appropriate for permanent use ?
Is it stronger in nicotine than a mini snus ?

German chew is more convenient for the stomach, but it's a hard-to-find niche-product, even in Germany, and it's quite sweet - I would'nt like to use it all day.

Yes, I use Oliver Twist Original and also some german Grimm & Triepel chew almost everyday. It's a nice alternation and very tasty. I guess, every snuser should try it. No spitting required. They use Kentucky tobacco with very much nicotine (around 27mg/g).

Though I like it very much, I found also that it's not so appropriate for permanent use, in contrast to snus.

I'm currently tasting Oliver Twist, and Picanell.
    It's great !
I was told that these brands were chewing gum flavoured tobacco. Not at all !
    It's tobacco leaf, rolled.
It's mini mini, but very tasty and nice. And stronger than a mini dry Catch or Wise, for example.

www.last.fm is smililar to this. It wouldn't be too hard, just an inference engine and a database. Artifical Intelligence is my major
