Drinnkin' Alberta Premium Rye Whiskey. One of the few that contain actual RYE in this country anymore!

OK, a word of caution, if you get that big-ole plastic bottle of Baltika #9 Lagar, it can really get you wasted. My and a buddy split two bottles, and a 4 pack of Boddingtons(one is left), and that Baltika tasted very easy and good, and went down like water, and I was feeling it on the second glass, and I ended up not drunk but wasted, we were so drunk, and so quick, we didn't get any recording done, couldn't play darts, and when we put a movie in, I was out, and felt hung over this morning. I am reluctant to drink it again.

Cool. It's a GIANT plastic bottle. Seems to equal maybe 4 cans worth, they were $4.49, it seemed reasonable for the amount. Guess I'll be drunk tomorrow. Let me see how big these are.... 1 Quart, 1 Pint, 3 oz.

Tom - Baltika 9 is pretty rough around the edges, man. I love strong beers but only when done right. That is to say, not when straight alcohol is the overwhelming flavor. Have fun with it though. Baltika makes 1 through 9 beers; 1 is non-alcoholic, 2 through 4 I think are fruity, one is wheat, one is porter... none are particularly good but my friend who is a Mongolphile (literally, he is married to one) had me over last Summer and we partook in a popular Mongolian activity of lining them all up in half-glasses and drinking them one by one from 1 to 9. Then we went the other way from 9 to 1. So it was cool to try them all, twice. Too bad he moved away, he always had cool shit to eat, drink, snus, or snuff just lying around the house.

Anyone had this? Any good? I took a chance and got 2.
never had that particular beer... but all Romanian brands of beer also come in 2L / 3L / 5L plastic bottles (for the alocholics I guess)

Used to buy them huge when I was a teenager

I just poured some alcohol on top of my wood pellets because I ran out of starter gel. Used sparingly, it works quite well.

Right on! I've had a big ass beard for a few years now. I sometimes get drinks at bars because friends want to bet each other how long it took to grow. Mostly I get ZZTop comments (like every day).

On topic: I stopped drinking Newcastles. However I did recently enjoy the mini keg version of it I got at BevMo. I've been on Guinness cans poured into a clear glass. It's beautiful to watch the nitrogen settle on the side of the glass after you pour it

So I splurged on the way home from work today and bought myself a bottle of Glenmorangie 18 yr Extremely Rare scotch. I usually drink the 10 yr and love it. Man this is good stuff. Has a really robust flavor but is so smooth. Expensive but worth it. Love the box and bottle.

Not something I would drink every night though, a little too bold for a casual every night drink for me.
