Not Impressed with Northerner So Far..

    Northerner sucks

    I am never ordering from Northerner again. I have yet to get a response from them (regarding the missing 2 rolls and empty envelope I received) after I called and sent them 2 emails well over a week ago. I'm not accustomed to getting such lousy service from an online business. I am currently disputing the charges with my bank and having them reversed.

    I strongly suggest ordering from someone other than the Northerner.

      I guess now's a good time to update my situation... It took them a couple of days, but Buysnus got in touch with me, and they're going to send the roll of Grov. I wish problems didn't happen, but I can't complain about the way Buysnus takes care of them. They get a big thumbs up from me.

        Yes. It comes out to like 8 dollars a tin becuase of taxes on small order. If you go over that you have the problems with the slow mail.

        I have always received my orders from them so I haven't had to go through customer service there.

        but I can't complain about the way Buysnus takes care of them. They get a big thumbs up from me
        I have made multiple Inquiries and order changes with buysnus. I always get a same day reply and they seem to want to please their customers.

          I recommend to contact Northerner's customer support, they always ship out a replacement, problem with email then you can call them: +46 31 68 1991

            since Buysnus slashed their shipping costs and just picked up the Gotlandssnus line, I find little reason to go Northerner now (other than being easier to order, given Buysnus is blocked on my card until I verify it by calling the card company)

            Here's the distinctions I've found currently in Snus between Northerner and Buysnus:

            los:
            Knox, skruf stark, diplomat, ld gold/original, gustavus
            portion: general maxi, diplomat

            cheaper on northerner. everything else is cheaper on buysnus.

            roots/kicks, wise, phantom classic loose, landstroms, gellivare are only available at northerner. everything else is available at buysnus. offroad limited is exclusive to buysnus.

            i'm sure i'm missing a couple but those are the main differences.

              I've never had any problems with Northerner. Get my order after about six days, usually.

                I also had this problem once with an error-mesage, stating, that they got too many fake orders from people, using the same internet-provider and won't accept further orders (that's at least how I understood the error-message).

                I was able to immediately get rid of the message by logging in via another provider.

                Well, I hope this helps. In Germany we have many so-called "call-by-call-providers", you can use, which costs only a few cents per use. I know, that this is different in other countries and I don't know how it is in the U.S.

                I guess, Buynus will sooner or later get rid of this problem anyway, because I find it ridiculous to judge a customer by the provider. BTW, I'm using one of the biggest web-providers available in Germany, so it's no wonder, that many of the users are fakers.

                  That's sounds like it's more on Buysnus' end than on the financial institution end, as it is with mine. Because I fix it by calling the card company and then it goes through.
                  Maybe the problem is the same however, because maybe Buysnus has put their own flag on the order process to card companies, then the card companies pick that up and institute their own blocking of the order rather than buysnus directly doing so. i guess it depends on the situation of the card carrier and their internet provider.

                      Northerner's communication is sometimes lacking, but they will fix your problem eventually. The Contact Us section gives a place to enter your information and comment. Did you do that?

                              This poster is suspect and all of the rest of us know it. Why cater to him? This is nothing more than a tirade to get everyone generating a bunch of nonsensical BULL! This is what Russians do when they are bored and tired of playing with themselves.

                              I started purchasing from The Northerner nine years ago. I can only think of two or three times in nine years I have had to contact them for a customer service issue. One of the best company’s ever to do business with.
