    40 can SNUS fridge... seriously?

Link will only be good for next 22 hours I think
    http://www.snusauction.com/offer/details/272

OK, I think I'm pretty off the deep end at the moment, having just discovered Swedish SNUS, but this takes the cake.

I have about 50 cans right now, which is a year+ supply (depending on how that year goes), so 40 doesn't seem totally out of line. I don't know why a person would buy a special fridge for their snus though (unless we are just talking about a chest freezer dedicated to snus, that's just fiscal responsibility.)

22 DAYS. I bet the price goes way high on that. I could see going to $250 just for the neat factor, but I bet the price goes way above that.

^40 cans of snus to an American is worth 120+, so I am sure it will be much higher when all is said and done.

At 250 I think a person living in the EU could buy it and actually end up saving money on 40 cans of snus they would otherwise buy.

Plus the auction location is Sweden...

Imagine winning that and asking for it to be filled all with things that we can't buy here in the states...

Glass fronted fridges are not usually considered actual fridges, they are usually considered wine coolers. They dont get as cold as a real fridge.

It looks good but it will have a noisy fan.

Noiseless fridges are the way to go. You can get a range of noiseless mini fridges here in the UK called Caldura I have a 30 litre one it can hold upto 60 cans of snus approx.

But 40 cans of snus in the deal as well, that is good.

My wife would kill me if I had that thing delivered.

As far as noise goes, I sleep with a sleep machine (white noise) so I can't imagine a frige/cooler being louder than that. If you live in the city and have problems with ambient noise I totally suggest a white noise machine.(not a fake white noise either,no recorded noises)

I use the radio to do the same thing. There is a station here in London called 'chill' not talk just ambient music. Great to sleep to.

I wouldn't pay more than $50 for that (what I consider) POS.
It's one of those piezoelectric coolers with a noisy fan.

Feck over at snuscentral got one:
                  http://www.snuscentral.org/member-ar...it=10&start=70

It came today! The only gripe I have is that it's kind of noisy. Not vaccum-cleaner loud, but louder than I like. I have about thirty cans in there now and it can easily hold double that.
                  ...
It's actually not as great as I thought it would be. It's a thermoelectric cooler with a crappy heat sink. I can only get it about fifty degrees inside. Basically it's an overgrown USB cooler that sucks up more electricity. No wonder they weren't big hits at the Cigar stores they were set up in.

Anyone have any tips on making a TEC run about fifteen degrees cooler?
It's basically just an expensive ornament.

Now this is somewhat tempting though... can't find any details on how well it cools though, I can't imagine a lot.

Did anyone notice that the picture is ancient. The General and Catch labels are the old ones. It makes you wonder how long they've had this fridge. Probably been in the break room for years and now it's time to unload it.

50 cans lasts you a year? Good god I wish I could do that. I blow through at least 30 cans a month.

I have one like yours Snusify, but it's counter height... bought it at Costco for about $130 it's silver on the outside and black on the inside. It's my nightstand :P

I peeled the top part off my General fridgemate, perfect for adding different flavours

I'm just a little confused, but that's because I'm a noob... Why would anyone stock up on a year's supply of snus? Snus has an expiration date and I thought the reason it is refrigerated was to keep it as fresh as possible. I can understand stocking up a month's worth, but it seems silly to buy too much in advance, it would be like trying to stock up on a year's supply of milk, it would go bad before you finished using it. Am I missing something here? :?:
