The first year I started I started like most of you, found Getsnus.com. They had the best customer service, good prices and you got a mystery can with a purchase of 5 cans or more (even though most of us got General Wintergreen, it was still something I looked forward to.) Too bad the site was set up just to pull us in, thinking that this is how it’s going to be for a long time (that’s what I thought anyways.)

I think it's important to note that in those good ol' days, Getsnus was its own entity, and they did things their own way (which was incredible as you point out). Northerner then bought the company and quickly eliminated some of these perks, and of course others were limited by PACT.

If I become desperate enough I will probably order from snuscentral or buysnus but I’m pretty much set on quitting all together, so maybe this was a good thing that this happen, but a bad thing for northerner since they are losing a $1,800 a year customer. It doesn’t seem like much but when you’re burning bridges between multiple consumers like northerner is doing, it makes a huge dent into the profits. I know for a fact that I’m a very small consumer compared to some of you guys on this forum.

Damn dude that is a lot of snus! $150 per month, at $4 per can is 1.25 cans per day. You must have been stocking up a lot? Or maybe you're Swedish

Wow KCollins - that rant brought back some great memories. I so looked forward to that surprise can and $50 used to be a huge order with getsnus.

I easily made 2 orders on a weekly basis with Getsnus. I also remember all the General snus merchandise, I have the rubber coasters, some ink pens, the beanie and the general Onyx canister thingy.

Also it was cheap to buy a just released can, instead of having to wait to place a big order to try it.

Those were the good ole days.

You've got to hand it to The Northerner Party ... they're sticking to their guns and still not providing a decent service despite all the public outcry.

Some would see this as corporate suicide.

But I think they know something we don't ... why else would they continue to act in this way?

Heh,I'm not Irish the wife is,I'm a homegrown West Virginia boy!Been here about 3 years too long now,heh can't remember last time I seen the sun!Explains why everyone here is so pasty,heh.But chewing tobacco sales inside the EU is illegal tdue to public safety but they figure smoking is healthier!But it is legal to buy it outside of the EU which is why I arrived here at Snuson and was happy.Now I have to deal with the new Northerner and I ain't so happy!Ran out of chaw last Wednesday so been having to make my own til more order arrives whenever that is.

Chewing tobacco is actually legal in EU, but American brands are not on sale as far as I know. You can get twist tobacco in Ireland too but UK-based webshops like Mysmokingshop and Black Swan Shoppe have have better variety including German chewing tobacco.

I had 800 points from the snuson store and 200-300 points from Getsnus.com, and I’m sure I had a couple hundred from the actual northerner site as well. If I recall correctly, awhile back we were discussing if we could somehow connect the accounts and possibly put the points together as one since I am assuming most of us had an account with Getsnus, Northener, and the snuson store.

I guess with all those points, I get in return a lousy 15% off coupon?!

I’m thankful though because right before they changed the sites that they “run” I ordered 4 rolls of my go to snus, and sadly it will be my last.

In the past 2 years, we as consumers of this great product has always been jumping through hoops and paying ridiculous shipping prices for this stuff.

Even though goods things have come of me getting on Swedish snus, like making friends and stopping cigs, fighting with customer service, paying high prices for the product and the shipping, wondering when my order will ship and so on, too me it’s not worth the struggle anymore.

They are really screwing up. Ordered some dip wich was in stock according THE website. THE finally responded to my emails. They don't have it in stock. I asked what they do have, and ordered that right away demanding it woud be shipped THE next day. So when they reply to you ask Whats in stock so the cant have any excuses.

I am very disappointed with Northener. This was the only place that would send me snus to my deployed location (APO) in the middle east. Now I can't even order at all since they changed their site. When I email them about it they don't even respond. I'm completely out, I guess trying Swedish Snus was the biggest mistake I made before coming out here for a 365 day deployment.

They will give you $15 off your next order if it's $100. At Buysnus they give you 50% off your 6th roll. For me, that usually happens every other order as I usually spend $100 for 3 rolls plus a few extra cans. So every other time I order I get about $15 off, and it's not once in a lifetime, it's every 75 days or so. Just something to consider when evaluating the compensation you received. Let us know how the Silver thing works out.
