Have been waiting 22 days since it "shipped", and 33 days since I ordered. Thinking maybe it got caught in customs (Germany), but then, wouldn't I have had a slip by now? Lol, Northerner.

My "order" arrived today. I waited and looked forward to it for 28 days. All I ordered was 7 cans of snus, 5 Oden's extra Strong Loose and 2 Thunder Orange. I only use Oden's ES Loose once per day but look forward to it all day long. 5 cans will last me a long time.
When I made the order, Northerner had a deal that all orders got 5 free cans of Jakobssons. I was not sure if my measly five can order of Oden's would get me the free cans. I figured it was worth a try so I ordered two cans of Thunder Orange out of guilt.
The two cans of Thunder Orange are in good shape and have far flung dates, so check those off the packing list as complete.
On to the five cans of Oden's on the order. It reads 5 cans of Oden's on the packing sheet. There are only 4 cans of Oden's in the box. Folks, I may not be the smartest knife in the drawer but I can count to five and without making mistakes. When I noticed that my thoughts were something like sheeee but OK I have four cans. Four cans of Oden's would last me a long time only using it once a day. Since I have waited 28 days I figured what's one can.
The next thing I did was check the best by dates 09.11.2012. They have the same dates as the Oden's that I got in my last order.
Obviously there were no five cans of Jakobssons in the box haha.
Here it is in a nutshell....
I waited 28 days on 7 cans of snus. Received 6 cans. 4 cans expire tomorrow.
If you happen to be one of those who are gonna claim I should be happy just keep it to yourself.

Northerner sent notice that my 7 cans Order Date: October 12, 2012 was shipped out and should be to me Thursday November 8. I hope they sent the right snus but I am sure they did. Will find out Thursday. All in all I guess I am OK with the way it worked out. Of course I have a pile of snus on hand so it's not like I was sitting here having nicotine fits waiting. I like the people at Northerner and they have always made good on mistakes, etc. I seriously hope they get this "in stock" issue corrected soon. Regardless I will order from them again. The main reason is I keep hoping they will get their USA warehouse together and that would be a good thing. Don't bother telling me I am a fool because that pretty much goes without saying I guess.

My main issue with their policy of holding orders if 1 item is out of stock is that they don't notify the customer. That's all they need to do. Let us know, and give as an option.
I ordered a selection of cans on 8th October. After about a week showing as pending I chased them and asked what was up. They said 1 brand was out of stock, and did I want to wait, or get a refund on it. I opted for refund, my order shipped, and I got it 2 weeks later - not bad for US to UK, standard shipping.
I'm happy enough with the way they resolved my problem, but it could have been avoided if they simply contacted me the moment they realised they couldn't ship it immediately.
So, Northerner - 2 things you need to do.
1. Sort out your stock taking system, and the way it works with the website.
2. Set up a process whereby you contact the customer if you cannot ship immediately, asking us what we want to do.
SIMPLE.
