Yah that's the same thing that happens to me. I'm like "nah i'll leave it in for a just a few more minutes", then by that time i'm nt hungry, and then the whole process starts all over untill it's 5pm and I havn't eaten anything lol. But yah I think it's a mental thing more than any actual chemicals in the snus.

Snus definitely suppresses my hunger. I have a pattern of getting hungry around 10 or 10:30 at night and my solution is always to just pop in a prilla and away goes the thought of food. Not that I'm concerned, I'm 6'4" and weigh 180 lbs. My weight fluctuates about 6-7 lbs up or down during the year. I've always had the type of metabolism where I could eat straight butter and not gain weight, even without exercise.

When i was taking adderall I could not eat at all. i could go days and eat maybe one or two small meals even if I was hungry. I would try to eat and would just feel sick trying to hold it down. Snus allows me to eat more and keep me focused enough to be productive. Definitely no appetite suppression for me.

Snus increases my appetite. Dip did too. It's always worked that way for me.

I never ate more than once a day as a smoker. I still don't eat more than one meal but I am more prone to snacking. Snus does reduce my appetite, but not to the degree that smoking did.

the thing with snus and all tobacco products is that IT DOES reduce appetite a lot because of the nicotine.

Like any stimulant, it may very rarely cause the often catastrophically uncomfortable neuropsychiatric effect of akathisia. By reducing the appetite and raising the metabolism, some smokers may lose weight as a consequence.
this article is about nicotine in general and it's effects, the same goes for snus.... the nicotine reduces the appetite and I've noticed when I chain snus I don't feel like eating the entire day and even when I do eat "that one meal" I don't feel hungry I just eat for the sake of eating lol

Dipping instead makes me eat more...... has anyone experienced an increase in appetite from dip?

There are several factors. Most importantly, the degree of nicotine uptake with snus is slower -- a similar amount of nicotine is absorbed, albeit slower than cigarettes. Additionally, snus does not deliver carbon monoxide and the plethora of other chemicals exclusive to cigarettes -- there are certain psychoactive substances snus does not not deliver, since the combustion process is foregone.

With the strong snus, yes. Definitely. I have practically no appetite when I do my beloved Thunders. My boyfriend (who reacts much more to the nicotine) feels the same with his. I tried some of his snus (odens, I think it was) and it had no effect on me whatsoever. No nicotine high, no appetite suppression.
But, yeah, snus has helped me lose quite some weight.

When I was first prescribed to Ritalin in college, I dropped 54 lbs. in 3 months. I called it my "nicotine, caffeine, amphetamine" diet. Eventually I became pretty addicted, and started using them in the wrong way. I went days without sleeping, literally read a novel EVERY day, developed a god complex, and lost all interest in sex. It was hard to kick that shit, believe me...

Amphetamines are the devil...at least when you abuse them...

BTW, I've gained 8 pounds since quitting smoking in January, even with the snus (which I dearly love).

When I 1st started snus, I think maybe it had some effect on appetite, but it seemed I'd have a snus in instead of snacking, but as time went by, I don't think it did, or it lost that aspect for me.

Snus absolutely kills my apetite which can be good and bad depending on what cycle im in at the gym. I ussually hold off an hour before I know Ill be eating and then as soon as Im done eating Ill pop in a portion like its an after dinner mint and then I feel glorious. I couldve eaten a single piece of toast but after the portion kicks in I feel fully satisfied like I just left an all you can eat surf n turf buffet!
