The biggest problem is we want to sell snuff, but the only places that sell snuff are the very places that sell cigarettes.

I do see the world changing and in 10 years time snuff will have replaced cigarettes. It's just the transition years that will be difficult for us and the marketing men.

Does nasal snuf give you a nicotine buzz similar to cigarettes or smoking? I've tried it in the past and mostly just sneezed without noticing any type of nicotine sensation. What am I doing wrong here?

Honestly, I had some overlap between "smoking" and "snusing" amounting to about 4 weeks, maybe 5. (maybe less but it's been a while)

Thing is, my mind had to switch over, and it did that all by itself.
I wasn't even aware of the difference.
Once I was into snus, I knew there was no way back to smoking.
These days, I just look at a pack of cigs, when there's no tobacco around and I just KNOW there is no way I'm putting a cig to my lips.
No matter how "gone" I am, somehow, the back of my brain recognizes smoking like the absolute lowest manner of tobacco consumption.
          Not to be repeated.

I actually found General Snus @ a Cigar shop, and I've also seen various nasal snuff @ local cigar shops. They have a large fridge LOADED with snus so I assume they're selling it like hotcakes.

Perhaps you can start by distributing to Pipe & Cigar stores to reach an alternative market?

Yes, it certainly does give you a buzz; but you absolutely must PERFECT your snuffing technique in order to get the most out of it. The nicotine will hit you much quicker than with snus, but overall it isn't as powerful or long lasting. You'll have to re-snuff every 10-15 minutes in order to keep up the effect.

If you get the majority of the snuff into your sinus cavity, you won't be absorbing much of any nicotine and your experience will be unpleasant. You want to get it in the front part of your nose, where the nicotine is absorbed very rapidly.

Glad to say that I have been smoke-free since May 1, 2008. Do I miss it? Not at all, thanks to snus, I don't smoke and I can breathe.

I still smoke a lot if I'm out in public, especially if I'm doing something like bowling or drinking or drinking coffee at Denny's.

But, if I'm at home, school, or work, I just snus. I start my fall semester of college later today, and can't wait - I remember it being distracting, because I would sit in class and after about two hours only be thinking about having a cigarette, so anything said towards the end of the class I would never remember. Like a test being next week. A well-formed pris will last me well through that

Also, I was using nasal snuff WAY wrong. I was doing it like a line of cocaine. It burned and made me sneeze.

I'm on about week three of snusing, and I'm smoke free since last Thursday... Now if I crave a smoke I just imagine having one and it turns me off to the idea...

Still smoking unfortunately... I'm really hating it too, but when I'm stressed it's what I crave.

Thanks for the info; I don't know why less people appear to be able to give up smoking with snus as opposed to snuff. I asked this question on snuffhouse.org and most snuff users say they found it very easy to give up smoking using snuff.
Do any Snusers’ know why this could be?
Maybe snuff satisfies the nicotine craving more quickly?
But at least you are all going in the right direction.

If snuff is more successful, and I really don't believe it is (just read some of the threads here, there are 100's of ex-smokers), I think its for two reasons:

1st: The nicotine from snuff hits you instantly, though snus takes a few minutes

2nd: Much like a cigarette, you can just keep Re-snuffing to "tailorize" your nicotine levels. With snus, you're sorta stuck with whatever pris size you chose.

Snuff can kill my desire for a cigarette, but it can't satisfy my desire for a snus!

Roderick: I know Toque comes in min-bullets, but I would like to see more elegant Snuff bullets available. All the ones I've seen are kinda boring (plain silver). Paraphernalia goes a long way towards enhancing a hobby/habit.
