I never used to really like Straight, though I did think Skoal and Grizzly straights were good, but that Copenhagen Straight I thought was great.

I bought a 5can roll of it yesterday. With it's intro price, and a $2.50 off coupon I had, it was $8.75 total after taxes.

I used up a good 3/4ths of a can of Grizzly Wintergreen LC, and that's enough for me. As a dip, it's not bad, it's soft, full of flavor, pinches and packs well, but for me, I just don't like wintergreen. It wasn't bad at 1st, having never had wintergreen dip before, but I just don't like wintergreen, and it's flavor would linger after I took it out. It got old fast, and I don't care for the flavor. I might try their Mint someday, just to try it.

So far, the best dip I've had is the new Copenhagen Straight. I like the flavor alot, it kinda has a berry sweet to it, and it doesn't leave a lingering taste afterwards. Can't wait to get home and throw in a lip.

I'm new to dipping. Right now I have Longhorn long cut mint (my first dip). It's ok, the mint flavor is getting old for me though.
I really want to try Timberwolf Apple or Peach, but I can't find it anywhere around.

I'm fairly new to dip too. I would have never done it, or chew, I believe, if I hadn't gotten into snus. Oral tobacco was just always a turn off, back when I was smoking.

For me, I have found Copenhagen to be top of the line, their natural varieties, snuff, Long Cut, and Extra Long Cut are great, but I have really enjoyed their Straight. Best straight I ever had, and at this moment, I'd say my new fave dip of all.

Funky flavors just arn't for me, I tried some Timber Wolf Peach, and I could not do more than 2 pinches, and I did use most all a can of Grizzly wintergreen, and it wasn't terrible, but I just don't like wintergreen as a tobacco flavor, and I've had enough of that.

Dips I'd still like to try is Skoal Straight fine cut, I thought their long straight was pretty good, I believe I prefer long cut, but I still want to try it. And Skoal Key interests me. I might take the chance and try Grizzly Mint some day, but I don't think I'd like it.

I did like Grizzly 1900 quite a bit. Grizzly snuff, and Natural long cut were good too.

Chews Red man silver, golden blend & sometimes the plug
              Stokers Tennessee chew & apple
              Red man straight long cut
Red seal Mint & Natural fine cut
I guess I'm that mythical dual user uses snus at work and inside and chew or dip depending on my mood on long haul drives and outdoors

I do this too, I use snus while at work, and going out, and use dip/chew at home.

So far the greatest dip I have tryed has been Grizzly mint. I've had just a few flavors and nearly all have been wintergreen. I tryed also grizzly natural and it was maybe worst of all. So i thought to ask about that is the Cope or Skoal straight or natural dips same as grizzly natural? If so i might dislike.

Hmm, I liked grizzly natural, the natural dips are the most plain, they are moreso "seasoned" than flavored, like regular snus. Straight is a flavor all it's own, I don't know how/why they came up with the word straight, but it's a smokey, sweetish, spicey flavor. I think Copenhagen straight is my fave dip. If you are sure you don't like natural, then you probably won't like regular Copenhagen Snuff, regular Copenhagen Long Cut, or the new Copenhgen Natural Extra Long Cut, or Skoal Classic, and Grizzly Snuff, and probably Grizzly 1900(though this one is not like the natural, and I thought it was great, maybe my 2nd fave dip). Various brands do taste different, but the basic straight flavor, and the natural flavor are 2 distinct flavors.

Thanks. That was really helpful. The natural dip flavor is just of course different than snus and so maybe i could try again some of them if it change my mind. I liked the juicy tobacco taste of dip.

Okay Tom, help me out here. As a former "Copenhagen" snuff dipper (You know, the plain jane, once ONLY Copenhagen blend with the good ol'e silver lid...) simply called "snuff" and finely cut moist tobacco.. I have no idea all the variations of first SKOAL and now COPENHAGEN/COPE... whatever, hell now I check and there are like over a dozen variations and many "google up" as a STRAIGHT. Can you possibly link me to the exact can/pic of the one you describe as a standout? I'm trying to formulate me a 'backup' plan IF the PACT totally skrews up my favorite 'SnuS' blends as seems to be the way things are heading with oden's, Bla, ect...

You mean the new Copenhagen Straight?
                          http://www.getsnus.com/en/snus/GetSn...g%20Cut-26338/

The "Cope" line(spelled just COPE) has been discontined. Before the COPE straight, there was another Copenhagen Straight, and they stopped that, and then started the COPE line, with Straight, Smooth Hickory, and Whisky Blend, then they discontinued that. Then they made the new Copenhagen Wintergreen, and then the new Copenhagen Straight, and a new Copenhagen Natural Extra Long Cut.

Not sure why they needed an Extra Long Cut, since they already had a Long Cut, but the addition of the wintergreen and straight I can see, and I think the COPE line just didn't sell well, I only had the Hickory and Whisky ones, but wasn't impressed. I don't care for wintergreen.

If you never had straight flavor dip, it's different than the snuff.

From how I understand it, Copenhagen's line is:
                          Snuff
                          Long Cut
                          Extra Long Cut
                          Wintergreen
                          Straight

Thanks Tom. That's the one I thought, I had just lost track of what happened with the "Cope" line and whatnot. Still not sure if I want to try it or not. I'm just starting to get a bit edgy on the 'snus' landscape after June 29th. In the end it will be what tastes the best and cost effectiveness as my two key factors. Since they stopped putting fiberglass in dip tobacco, I'm not going to stress so much on the health issues. Some of my favorite snus I'm becoming attached to are already mysteriously vanishing and am not about to jump through hoops to get it.

Well, I dip, chew, snus, and snuff, so I don't approach it with exclusivity. Oh, I forgot to add Copenhagen also makes pouches. The idea of using dip pouches as an alternative to snus has entered my brain a few times, and it will work, though the pouch is more like maxi. I experimented a while back, with a Skoal bandit, and a Copen pouch, it was a while back, and I was not using dip at the time, but I did not feel the need to spit, upper lip just doesn't make much spit.

Interesting. I had forgot they delved into 'pouch-land'. How is the flavor w/ the pouches. Does it most resemble Copenhagen 'snuff' Or one of the other newer longcut/natural/straight... whatnots?
