Anyone else have a bad experience with GetSnus.com?

    Anyone else have a bad experience with GetSnus.com?

    I'm waiting on two small orders already, but after getting a bunch of good suggestions on other brands to try, I decided to place a third small order. (Yes, I know I have Tobacco Acquisition Disorder. I'm sure I'm not the only one so afflicted.)

    I picked GetSnus.com because they're US-based, therefore shorter wait times and lower shipping costs. But when I tried to place my order online, it wouldn't go through, due to their moronic ID verification system. So I called their 800 number this morning, hoping to get it straightened out.

    I didn't catch the name of the rep who answered my call, unfortunately. He had a really lackadaisical attitude, the kind that screams, "Look, dude, I'm just here for a paycheck, and I don't give a s**t for you or your problems." He told me that I'd have to repeat my entire order to him over the phone, and even then he couldn't promise me that the ID verification software wouldn't hang up on future orders. When I pointed out to him that his company has lots of competitors, and they weren't doing themselves any favors by making it so difficult to place a simple order, he didn't seem to care. Claimed there was nothing he could do. So I told him to just forget about it, and hung up.

    Maybe others would put up with such treatment, but poor customer service is a major pet peeve of mine. I want to do business with firms that listen to their customers and make every reasonable effort to handle their problems with minimal hassle. Maybe this was just a fluke, but it was enough to make me go elsewhere.

    Are you sure you called the right number? lol. This is the very first complaint I've ever heard about Getsnus. ou can search the entire forum and probably not find any complaints.

    Anyway, One would think they would be closed on a saturday. To be able to get ahold of them on a saturday should be enough to be alittle happy about.

    I have never had a problem of any kind with Getsnus.
    Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

      I remember 1 complaint from over a year ago I think. I think it may have had something to do with phone support also :^/

      All my experiences with them have been first rate. Of course every company's great when things go smoothly, it's how they deal with problems that distinguishes the better companies.

            I have heard of a few instances of people having problems with the age verification routine that getsnus has in place.
            What is weird to me is that I never did anything other than click an agreement that I was of age, I never did have any age verification aside from that.

            Can't speak to what may have occurred with that phone call, the one minor issue I had was dealt with through email and it was fast and more than satisfactory.

            Give em another shot PipenSnus, perhaps through the Contact page on their site. If you can find a way to iron out this bump I think you'll find they are one of the better players around.

              It's been an ongoing issue with their credit card handler. Some cards won't get authenticated for whatever reason. I've never had a problem, but some people have.

                It's possible you're expecting too much. With idiots like:

                looking over their shoulder, they are just as much at the mercy of ID verification software as you are.

                I think the solution is to mail them a copy of your Drivers License.

                They've always taken care of me and from what I've seen,
                they try to do everything humanly possible to take care of their customers.

                  I might agree with you if I hadn't already placed two orders with two different online vendors with no hassle whatsoever. Sorry, but I don't see how expecting the same level of service I've gotten from competing vendors is expecting too much.

                  The least the rep could have done, if he sincerely couldn't help me, was to offer to have his supervisor call me back. What ticks me off is his "don't give a damn" attitude.

                  I cut-and-pasted a link to this thread and submitted it to GetSnus.com's Feedback page. Maybe that will light a fire under someone.

                    I had a couple initial difficulties with getsnus, but I am with Justin: if you can get those first few issues ironed out, they are one of the better vendors around. Well, really they are just cheap and fast, but I can't think of a better definition of good snus vending than that.

                    And the id verification system is a pain in the ass, and it may seem entirely unnecessary, but it is that kind of foresight and safeguarding that is going to allow getsnus to continue sales in the United States after PACT. It might be worth your time to get on their register for that fact alone.

                      I have mainly only used Getsnus, and never had a problem making orders, and getting them quickly. The sign up worked fine for me.

                      The only small incident I ever had was I ordered 1 can of Rothbrix Brown Portion, and they sent me loose, I told them, and they said just keep the loose, and we'll send you a can of the portion, and when the can came, it was another can of loose.

                      But that's minor, and everything else has been great.

                        I always have problems when I use Firefox while ordering from there. I switch over to IE to do the credit card part and everything goes fine.

                        I can't complain about the service. Fast, cheap, and they've replaced stuff for me no questions asked.

                          GetSnus has always been great for me. I placed boocoo orders before the ID verification jazz cropped up for me. Called them, placed an order, the guy (Bob) was super nice, and they straightened out the card thing. Once, they sent me extra stuff just because they screwed up and they knew it. I never even had to tell them. Another time, they shorted me one of those little ashtray-lid clocks, and when they sent it, they sent me an extra calendar, too. And let's talk mystery cans. (The one complaint I do have is that I have *never* gotten a pen, and I must have placed twenty orders. At this point, I hope I don't get a pen; I'd rather be able to complain about it. However, I do like pens.)

                          But every operation is going to blow it now and then. I'm sorry to hear they did it with you.

                              One of the best online retailers I ever dealt with period.. Great product choice and great service, Bob and the other employees work very hard to see that every customer is satisfied and happy.
