Aah, so it IS increadably confusing getting snus to Canada. I thought it was just me... I think I paid everything from $6 to $60 for five cans

Dunno what you're talking about there mate.
The only Canadian snus I heard about is the Du Maurier. And that's not really Canadian, I think it's licence made by Swedish match or something. It taste more like Candy than Snus to me.

Does anyone know of another one?

They are quite similar in taste. The Camel bags are bigger though.
The Du Maurier comes in two flavors original and ice(minty menthol or something like that).

Im in Victoria BC and made my first Snus order. I actually enjoyed the Camel Snus I got in teh states, and when i moved back here I missed it. Found to my horror is was no where to be found. So I went online...

I just ordered 2 separate orders:

5 tins from the Northerner (European Warehouse)
                    5 Tins from Snus.com

the Northerner tins came in a plain white bubble envelope, and arrived in my mailbox DUTY FREE and in about 5 days.

The Snus.com order was in a yellow envelope, took 10 days to get a pick up notice from Canada Post, ended up paying 28.80 in Duty on it to get it. Ended up being about $10 bucks a tin with the price of the order and the duty.

I think the difference was the packaging and labelling. The white Northerner package was nondescript, the sum total of the writing on the "declared contents" was a microscopic "snus" . The Snus.com order was clearly and largely labelled as "tabacco," and got nabbed by customs. I've just placed another order with Northerner to see if this one makes it through as well.

Anyone know a good place to order online besides Northerner? Just curious and want to find the best solution.

                      Welcome to the forums Reverend,

BuySnus.com is the other major player. I think both companies are hit or miss. Some will make it through, others won't. Good Luck.

For those that don't know ..

Northerner.com and BuySnus is the same joint, try to log in on Northerner.com with your BuySnus logins or the other way around ..

Here's some of the other sites they own:

                        http://www.snus.com
                        http://www.snusbutiken.com/
(the login works for these two as well)

OP! I don't see any reasons why they taxed you again in Canada, did you at least ask ?

I mean we pay so many taxes already to northerner.com (the products arrive in our hands at 3 times the price) why would you pay more taxes on destionation?

                          No they are not

BuySnus is owned and run by MakeWebo AB
Northerner is owned and run by Northerner Scandinavia AB

                          2 completely different companies.

I think you're confused when we say BuySnus we mean BuySnus.com

I ordered from Buysnus and there labeling was much larger than Northerner and got dinged duty , so far all my Northerner orders have come through duty free I think due to there small label of declared contents , I made a order from Snus central of a mixed portion roll to see how that goes and I have 3 cans of Los in the mail and 2 rolls of expired mixed portion coming from northerner

will update when they all arrive , for all other Canuck snusers

                              That's weird...

I can still login with the same details. How can you explain that?

Probably they're a joint venture under two different companies.

Because snus orders bound for Canada are not charged duties/taxes by the vendor prior to being shipped out.
