Just for everyones reference, I set the petition to close Sept 8 2009.

I don't like either party, but on most issues I like the Repubs most, but ideally, I like Libertarian most. I think Obama got in cuz he's younger and hip. But I would think, if they we knowledgeable, the youth, instead of being led by MTV and voting on hipster cool, would vote for freedom, and the Libertarian party would get more attention.

we have discussed this and discussed it like crazy. but the sheer fact is that it will pass as long as it contains "for the children" or "money for terrorist cells", and it will more than likely pass. it sucks, but like sage says, the ostritch is the best way to handle it.

i'm painfully aware that they vote..... all the time. I know exactly what you mean about the people. I live in hawaii and down here you can't smoke within 20 feet of a window or door of any business. Now they're trying to ban smoking from the beaches; which in a way I support simply cuz I've seen tons of butts in the sand, and equally as many parents taking said butts from their small children just before they try to jam 'em in their mouths.

So don't get me wrong, I understand both side, but we're getting ****ed w/o lube here.

I signed the petition as well. I'm in the military and im not happy about it at all. i risk my life for freedom and i dont want another one being taken away from me or anyone else in america for that matter. petition on my friend. btw, i even emailed the senator for our state in congress.

I'm still a lil pissy about how the country treats soldiers/sailors/airmen/marines. As far as I'm concerned you should be able to blow lines off a hookers ass, while drinking a case of beer on the sidewalk in front of the police station if you want to regardless of your age, just for being willing to get killed for your country.

No, just the opposite. Whole point of PACT act is to MAKE you buy it from your local store, how they can gaurantee all taxes due are paid. So whole point of PACT act in the end is to support and force business to local shops.

A side benefit that I imagine would come out of it is a whole bunch more snus being sold finally locally. And I know Swedish Match is gearing up to provide if it comes to this.

So....no stress....you will still be able to get you snus

One of my senators thinks PACT is bullshit too, just got his letter in the mail. :shock:
