Good. I thought this needed a separate thread.
      Unless there is one.

I don't want to be /that guy/, but online petitions don't really accomplish much. They may make you feel better for a little bit, but no one with any power to change things cares. When it's in legislation, writing your congressman is the best course of action. When it's in the courts, it's a matter of law, or their interpretation of law anyway. Their interpretation can be influenced by good legal arguments, or corporate interests(not that our fine judiciary is subject to such chicanery :^D), but online petitions, not so much....

Has anyone written up a nice letter to send to congressmen? I'll also be contacting state legislators since I'm fubar with this banned states crap.

I know some sites let you blast a letter to your reps, see if that's out there or can be set up. Probably too late at this point

Thing is, it's out of their hands at this point. They were given a chance, and they passed the law. Now it's up to the courts to determine the validity of the law. If the law's illegal, then it'll get thrown out, with a possible/probable reattempt at rewriting the law. That's when it's time to contact your congressman. I don't think there's much average citizens can do at this point.

                            Almost to 100 signatures. Wow.

I'm curious how many we can get. I remember when the network renewed Jericho for second season because a grassroots movement of fans sent hundreds of pounds of peanuts to the network. Stranger things have happened and I really wanted to see a unified front of smokeless tobacco users to stand up and oppose this, publically.
