How many times per day for you?

I must have about 15 pris' a day. I've just stopped smoking again so have a lot.

I mostly use portions at work and, depending on the portion, I go thru around 6 to 8 in 10 hours. At home, I now use mostly lös, 2 to 3 pris' and 1 portion about an hour before going to bed. When I smoked, I was about a 2 pack a day smoker. The 2 best things I like about snus over smokes:

1. I seem to get more done at work due to not having to go out every hour.

2. Snus is WAY cheaper than smoking!! Where I live, smokes are about $40 USD a carton. I'd go thru a carton and a half a week which is about $60 USD a week. $60 in snus lasts me about 3 weeks (now that I have an Icetool, I can probably get it to last a month)

Funniest thing, my employees used to know when I hadn't had a smoke in a while. Now they ask me if I have my snus on me!! (I get crabby when I don't have my nicotine) :shock:

Now that my $ situation is better than it has been, I have a portion in almost any time I'm not eating a meal. I usually pop a white portion before bed, a habit I'm trying to break though. I think I'm overall more dependent on nicotine than I was as a smoker, as I could go for sometimes up to 48 hours without a smoke. Snus [portion at least] is different though, as it doesn't matter if I'm working or whatever. The stealth aspect encourages me to keep it going all day long, whereas when I was smoking cigs, I'd only do it when it was convenient, on a break, in the car etc.

Let me verify something first. When you all say, "10 per day", do you mean ten portions a day, or ten "uses" per day. See I use 3-4 portions per time. so I "dip" (yes, I'm a Southern America, I have to say dip) 8-12 portions a day, but I only "dip" 2-4 times. I hardly ever use loose snus. Just don't like it all over my mouth, plus I never get the same buzz from it. I usually keep the snus in between my back teeth and cheeks. Also, I spit. The whole concept of swallowing the tobacco juice really takes me back to throwing up off of Skoal Cherry, and I can't handle that. :mrgreen:

I use one large portion at a time in my upper lip... I never spit except right after removing the portion. Using it in the upper lip produces such a small amount of juice that it's no big deal to swallow it... I almost always have a beverage nearby to chase the burn in my throat that I sometimes get...

Well, I said I'd count, and it's 4:45 EST here, and I've been using lös exclusively for about a week now, maybe a little more, and I've used 2 pris' today. However, I just got home from work, and I tend to have a pris in whenever I'm not eating when I'm not at work, so I'll probably use 4-5 more today. I'll try and remember to count and repost before I go to bed.

I use about 6 portions of strong snus per day. I usually keep them in for 1.5-2 hours. I love snus because I can get the evil nicotine without having to run outside every hour. Also, it's nice that I don't have to spit, since I wouldn't want to be seen as a redneck!
