Our society continues to baby every person that is not 21 years old, even though we're old enough to serve our country.
Depends on how much of a dick the driver wants to be. I've got until next March before I hit 21, but I've got a big beard and moustache, so most people think I'm 26-ish or so. I've only had one package arrive post-PACT, but the driver just took one look at me and handed it to me. Other perk of extensive facial hair, I have a much easier time being served or sold beer.

Texasstorm, the reason why so many of us use the Northerner is because it works. There have only been significant problems occurring in the last two months. If Al's Lawnmower and Doughnut Shop is doing great, and has been for years, for you, and the federal government passes a law that says he has to convince his suppliers to measure every part of all their machines and submit them to the DMV for approval, do you just abandon this guy for something that is totally out of his hands? You've only been in this game for less than a month, and you can in at a particularly bad time. Just because you've had a bad experience with them does not mean they are awful. Just because you don't feel they meet your ridiculous standards for how a business should run (ie, automatically respond to every single e-mail, ship your order immediately because momma's little snowflake is so precious and deserves to jump the queue) doesn't make them a bad business. Some of us have been dealing with the Northerner for years, and most of us realize that they're just having a particularly bad time right now through no fault of their own. I see all sorts of threads created by people who have only been here for a month or two that all run like "OMG, I ordered something that was supposed to be instock, and it was back-ordered! I might have to wait two weeks, Oh NOES! Northerner suxx." and very few posted from long term members who understand what's going on. Lazer posted one about Odens ES Kanel lös and sgreger1 posted this one. And you know what? Issues of supply or shipping are out of the Northerner's hands when supply and shipping are given monopolies via legislation. It isn't as if Frederik or Frank can do anything about this.

The Northerner has served many of us with nothing but excellence for years, and your one month of experience doesn't invalidate it. Some of us have patience, and are willing to let these guys pick up the pieces of a business that was nearly killed by Congress. If they continue to have problems towards the middle of fall or the end of the year, yes, many of us will just switch suppliers. But give them a little bit of time to work on it.

UPS sucks because when I used to buy cigarettes from the Indians to save money, UPS ratted on me to the Taxachusetts Dept. of Revenue and I got hit with a huge tax bill (over $800), plus penalties and fees. UPS gives all your personal information to the government. They're rats and they are raping us because the politicians OWN them!

My order came today UPS, but... I wasn't home.
My wife will be home tomorrow, so she should be able to get it, I did tell her to not go sit out in the back yard, as this would probably be the only day I could get this.

Yeah, Pact is making it a big hassle, and a bigger expense, but as I said before, I think it's planned to be this way.

This might be my last time.

I won't be voting for Obama again. He lost me when he signed the PACT act.

But then again, I would vote for him before I'd vote for Sarah Palin, which is why I voted for him in the first place, LOL.

Your work doesn't have daily UPS shipments? I know my office has UPS come everyday so I know that my package will always arrive. :P

Which is yet another BShitter about this whole ordeal.
My wife signs for my orders when needed. She did not order them. But our UPS guys would generally just leave stuff by the door and knock once so we knew they stopped by. They are a bit less tight a$$ed in my hood

I am stoked that I will no longer have to deal with this BS. I went to the Tobacco Warehouse in Santa Rosa and the manager agreed to order General OP. He says that he will sell it for $4.56 a can out the door. I still might join the VIP Club if they get some cool snus but it is so much easier just to go to the store and buy it!
