End of the year snus. Julesnus/Kardus/Catch Cozy.

I am to understand, Gotlandssnus and Nordströmmen both make a Julesnus? I hear they are coming out week 42, but wanted to know what to watch for. Did anyone try these, and what were your thoughts?

Also, I hear Kardus 2009 is going to be quite good. Did anyone get in on Kardus 2008 and try it? I'm considering it this year.

I missed out on both of this last year, since I just started in snus at the beginning of this year.

Kardus 2008 was like no other snus I've ever seen or tasted. The hand cut tobacco technique produced a very beautiful and tasty snus. I will definitely be getting the 2009 and would recommend you to try it. A pris of Kardus lasts FOREVER. Never a mudslide and the flavor never goes away.

Kardus is great. I've gotten it for the last 2 years, and though it's expensive, there's no other snus like it. For the Jule snus, I like the Gotland version better. The Gotland emphasizes the spice flavors, while the V2 version emphasizes the wine. I would order 1 tin of each early, and see which you like the best. You can then order more if you choose to.

For whatever it is worth, I hated the V2 version

I can't wait to try Kardus. Most of the normal snus have about 33% tobacco, Kardus is about 40% and I think it's comprised of the lamina part of the tobacco leaf minus the stems. Truly something different.

P.S. Chad, Larry will be happy to see you still read his blogs

Yeah, I saw that he had his up. I've been working on my article this week about Catch Cozy and Offroad, but haven't had time to put it up yet. Mine MIGHT be done tonight, I've just been trying to find all the info and compile a story about these products, along with Kardus and Julesnus.

The way I look at it is it's like CNN. Everyone reports the same news. Just some do it differently. If Fox News reported 9/11, they wouldn't say, "Hey CNN, you can't report that!" Because it's just that, the news. Same news comes up in the snus world, so we can't be mad if I do it first, or he does it first. Y'know?

I actually spoke with Larry a few days ago to end our "conflict", so I'm happy to say our long standing beef is over. I don't expect a Christmas card this year, but we're not hating each other anymore, which is a good thing. We both run snus websites, and I think in the end we're both working towards the ultimate goal of spreading awareness - who cares who gets the story out first, or who tries what snus first, no point in getting into a pissing contest about it when we both have something to bring to the snus world in our own ways. So we're cool now.

Gotlands Julesnus tastes like anchovy paste with a hint of xmas.

An update from V2 on their Julesnus:

"The release of Julesnus is around medio November.
The flavoring and tobacco blend will be changed a bit this year
The design will be the same..."

I noticed a lot of ppl last year who had never tried Julesnus didnt like it.

It was definately a treat but in no way an all time snus, for me at least.

Gotlands was better IMO, because it was a lil more subdued and came on nice with hints of spice, some ginger and maybe something else, but was delicious.

Kardus, well almost 200 bucks for snus was more than I could justify paying for, but thats just me, maybe this year though.

Condor - I think that's a great idea. I'm sure lots of people want it and would split it with you.
