Not so Newbie advice on USA Camel Snus

Ok, so I got it bad, eight open cans of los in refrigerator, 8 portions, and 60 or so cans vacuum packed in the freezer. I am hoping they never ban this stuff, but stranger things have happened, I like having lots of snus and ammunition on hand, better to have it and not need it.... Anyway, I keep seeing cold Camel snus here signs everywhere, and I keep telling myself it is a total waste of money to try them, Am I right?

No. It is something very different, really sweet. But kinda pleasant if you accept it for what it is. Not a great nic hit either, will feel much like a mini might feel.

I have not gotten around to trying the new (US) Camel, but I loved the old Spice and would get a tin every couple of months.

Just think of it as a desert snus, and you will be fine.

USA Camel was my first. Their marketing was how I heard of snus. I didn't like it very well, and it's a wonder I ended up getting into snus at all. It's so sweet it's almost like candy. Now that I've determined that I actually do like snus, I should probably give it another shot. Of course it's worth a try. For eight bucks, you can put to rest your curiosity on both flavors.

The mellow is better than the frost, in my opinion. Sweet and fruity, like putting a nicotine-laced fruit roll-up in your upper lip.

what's weird, is when i first started using Swedish Snus, the smell repulsed me. now, i've grown to love it. i went back the other day and smelled a can of Camel Frost i had in the freezer and was like "WOW, this smells so overbearingly sweet". its weird how it's changed.

My advice don't spend any money on it. Sign up on their website, get on their mailing list and wait until they send you a coupon. I got my first coupon about a month ago, got a can of Frost. I had one piece out of it, nothing special. It's in my fridge taking up space.

Last weekend a got a second coupon. I'll use that to get the Mellow.

It's worth a try. I kind of like the Camel on very infrequent occasions. I have to wonder at the people who say they don't like it because it tastes like candy. You guys really don't like candy?? :^D

I haven't had the Mellow, but I really like the Frost flavor. The portion's comfortable, and it's like having a nicotine infused breath mint. I much prefer the Swedish style snus, but there's room in my fridge for the occasional Camel also.

I like the mellow. It reminds me of pipe tobacco and tastes great with whisky.

I like the Mellow flavor when I use it. I don't like how it lingers after I spit it out.

The Frost is just not my cup of tea. I've tried many times to enjoy mint snus. Thunder Frosted was better being a spearmint, but I just never enjoy mint tobacco.

The price point of Camel snus (American) is just idiotic. I won't buy it again just for that.

That's my problem with it. I have a couple buy 1 get 1 coupons, but aren't really worth it, even for 2 tins. I'll probably cash one in just to try the Mellow flavor, but the price is very steep for what you get.

Camel Spice > Frost > Original > Mellow

I actually really liked Camel Spice when it existed. It's what got me interested in other snus brands. I actually thought Frost was horrible at first but not it's a back-up mini snus for me at work.

I miss Spice!! I still have a tin that is a third full. Fortunately, I think this stuff is a lot like cockroaches, would outlast a nuclear war.

Sage is right. Back when the Original and the Spice were available, I went into a Sheetz store and all of their cans were buy one get one free, and the free can also had another coupon for a free can. Needless to say I left there with like 30 cans because I was shipping them over to some family members overseas. Some of the cans I kept in the freezer for about a year and I jsut finished up the last of the Original I had left. I tell you, I much prefer it to the new Mellow.

Sage, I've heard it described that the Mellow is like a 50/50 cross between the old Spice and Regular, but I personally don't see it. What say you?

Don't know yet. Until my Spice is gone, I won't even get a chance to try the mellow, and I have like one portion a month.
