Camel snus has now been released in Sweden! It is a real version of Swedish snus and not exactly the same products that are for sale in US.

The New Camel Snus
Camel snus has been for sale in US for a while and the camelsnus that has been sold in US came in three different flavors: original, frost and spice. This new Camel snus has been launched for the Swedish market and therefore has to meet the high quality standards that all Swedish snus has to meet. The Camel snus that has been released in Sweden comes in both original portion and white portion snus. It is not flavored in the same way as the US Camel snus is, the Swedish snus version has a more tobacco flavor and the cans are also adopted to the Swedish market. A can of the original camel snus contains 24 pouches on each 1 gram, the white camel contains 20 gram of tobacco.

So why can't this snus be released in the USA? Oh wait, I know why... R.J. Reynolds wants people to keep smoking and snusing simultaneously. They wouldn't release something that tasted good and delivered a good hit of nicotine.

I think you are correct JTI bought RJ Reynolds International and Gallaher.
They do sell Camel cigarettes in Sweden.

Whereas Reynolds American sells Camel cigarettes in the US.

The Swedish Camel snus cans look almost identical to LD Black cans. (Gallaher)

Heh, when I got that email I knew right away that there was going to be a thread blowing up over here.

I'm very interested to try this....it's definitely going on the next order for sure. If it tastes anything like Mellow, then it's safe to say I'll have found my favorite snus.
