Notice something else my friends. Portions are winning, but do you see folks posting? Nope, just folks bragging that they use los. Bunch of self satisfied loudmouths if you ask me.

Los "feels" so much better Sage.

If it wasn't for the general lack of knowledge about snus by society at large I would see no reason not to primarily use loose.

There's always the convenience factor. Also dirty occupations that wouldn't make using loose hygienic. Porions are great, but dollar for dollar, can for can, I enjoy loose snus immensely more than portions.

        80-85% Portions to 15-20% los

Mostly portions during the week but I like los when sitting by firepit on weekends, or as a before bed treat.

sage, I swear allegience to the portion side forever. Only interested in loose if there's no portion facsimile

most of the reasons to like loose just really aren't true in my case. I use it up faster, I don't like the way it feels in my mouth as much, and I don't like the way it hits as much. the only thing worse is a mini portion

I'm with you on all of that.

But hey, I'm happy whatever folks choose, However, I am having fun poking a bit of fun at the folks who use los. Sometimes, just sometimes, it almost seems as if some folks think they are somehow cooler. Just saying.

Even in this thread, you will see what I am saying, like folks really are bragging about using los. LOL. I guess I can brag that I choose coffee over tea today. Folks like what they like, and there is no such thing as *better* when it comes to snus. But los folks seem to occasionally forget that.

So I am grateful for this poll just to remind folks that portion users are in the majority here.

And btw, see how disrespectful I am to los. I absolutely refuse to do any extra work to find that cute little character with the two dots on top.

I primarily use portions. I love them. Los is more of a treat for me, something to look forward to when I get home, but portions rule the daily workload.

Alright Sage, I had to answer to your prod on this one. It's løs, not lös. If we're trying to technical here... (and we're not) And all it takes is a bit of Option Key + O, as far as the effort. But I hear what you're saying to a degree. As if some of us had "graduated" to løs from portions. Some of us, like merc, were just bad-ass to begin with. But in the comfort of your own home, where you can sit back with a big puffy, dirty lip full of tasty, steam-cured Swedish tobacco? Can't beat it buddy. Just messin' with you. Let it be known that you have been both instrumental and monumental in my journey of snus-discovery. That's right, I'm strokin' that ego like a.... like a.... gürken. No wait, just gurken. No ümlauts.

Mostly portions, but if I was a hermit who stayed at home all day and had no job, it would most definitely be los all the time.

Yeah, yeah I'm great and awesome and sweet, blah, blah, blah.

But you see MY point. As you put it, folks think they have *graduated* to lös. Like somehow, they are now more advanced snus users cause they use lös.

And being bluntly honest here, it does get a bit tiresome, but I will always take it with grace. I like portions. I have gone through 4 cans of lös. And although I found it interesting, I didn't come close to enjoying it like I enjoy portions. I have said numerous times, but my portions are all my little best friends. I have a connection with portions I simply never could build with lös.

So putting up with the self satisfied smugness that does come through occasionally, although I KNOW never intended, just gets a bit old.

And as I have said multiple times now. Within the next few months, I too plan on revisiting lös. Like a snus I didn't like at first, I feel I need to try again a few times as my tastes will change. Plus I really, really want an icetool. I just have always thought they were the coolest. And I think it will help me experience lös as it should be.. I love the idea of the ritual with lös. but in the end, I have to love the experience as well.

Otherwise, I will remain, faithfully, that cranky Elyxr user who feels the need to stand up for the silent majority of portion users.

It depends on the country. It's lös in Sweden, and løs in Norway ;^)

I use the umlauts because it's special. I insisted that my daughter(Zoë) use the umlauts in her name, because it sets it apart from others. She's 11 now, and she loves her umlauts :^)

I would say I use 60% portion and 40% los. I use portions at work and los at home. I have been dabating taking the icetool and a tin to work and using it when no one is around which is sometimes but I'd hate to have to carry two tins around.

                        I voted portion.

In my early snusing days I primarily used portions, but now I've taken to using mostly loose. The only times I use portions anymore are if I'm at a social function where women are present or if I'm at work or school. Other than that, you'll rarely find me without a lip full of loose.

Portion, Portion Portion Portion Portion - with the odd cigar here and there, a bit of snuff and the occasional Shisha pipe....

                            Portion & Proud!

I don't know how to quote on this forum. This is the first forum I've ever been a part of. Maybe it's the same for other forums... someone please educate me. Thanks
