I don't think you are a loser Monkey; don't be so hard on yourself.
Are you primarily a portion user or a lös user?

Although I would like to use los, I am pretty much exclusively a portion guy. All my experiments with los have been failures. My biggest complaint is I get less flavor from los than I do from a portion, which seems odd. I know I am looking for a snus flavored dip experience but I have found even portion snus I rated as merely average taste far better than any los.
Thus far I have tried Offroad American Wintergreen Long Cut, which was the best but far inferior to General Mint, Knox los (portions were way better), Phantom Blue los (love the portions, the los not so much), and Roda Lacket los (love Claq Qui portions). I have not quite given up, I have a can of General los, Offroad Pure Longcut, and OR Cranberry los waiting in the freezer but if those don't pan out I am done.
The idea of twice as much tobacco for the same or less money is certainly appealing and the nicotine certainly hits fast with los but it just ins't working for me.

I have started using lös at work even and have become more comfortable injecting my lip. The only time I feel I really have to use portion is when I know my sinuses are going to push me to a faster mudslide. There is just something special about the feel of naked tobacco on the gums.

Nice poll.
I need both.
Mostly a portion user.
In an average week I'll use two cans of portions and one can of loose.
However, at the moment I become independently wealthy, that ratio will reverse for me.

To Quote Rick:
"Love Skruf Stark portions, how does the los compare in flavor, saltiness, etc.? Gonna place another small los order tonight, Skruf Stark and what else....don't want to go crazy, just try it. Check out mouth feel, flavors etc. I'll still use primarily portions due to the nature of my work, but the los sounds like a good snusy treat chock full of vitamin N."
I've tried both Skruf Stark portion varieties (white and regular) that my gf had. My first snus was Skruf Stark Loose. I prefer the loose. I find that the portion flavor seems a little fishy, whereas the loose has a greater saltiness to it, and I'm able to detect the rose/bergamot better. Bottom line: If I use a portion of it, I don't put my tongue near it to get flavor, but if I use the loose, I enjoy the flavor. Try it for yourself!
On the main topic: I definitely think that it makes sense that more people in reality use portions, as has been said already. Just like more people use manufactured cigarettes. It's convenient and seemingly more sanitary (although I would argue, especially if you have an icetool). I personally started on loose and for me, there's no comparison in terms of flavor, value, and comfort for the mouth. What's best of all though, is that we have options.
