Finally, finally, and got-damnit finally. Three gas stations out here in my area have started selling General. Both types - they have a hybrid fridge with both the crappy coffin cans, and also the sweet sweet Swedish 24 portion tins. Sadly no sterks, but they have original, white, mint, and wintergreen.

Best part is the price - .99 cents! Apparently every store that starts carrying General is authorized to sell at this price for 12 weeks. The store nearest me stocks the fridge every Tuesday, and believe you me I go in there very Tuesday and clean that bitch out, and will until this promotion ends. Almost 100 tins now, for less than the price of two rolls shipped online! (I leave the coffin cans in there, lol)

The look on their faces when I tell them "gimme all of it" is priceless!

I see it as Karma paying me back for the fuk-ton of cash I've had to part with since PACT took over. Sweet!!

At some gas stations they have the General round cans. MINT, WG, CLASSIC in a 3 way Fridge. Kinda odd

Kum N Go gas stations in NW Arkansas are slowly starting to add General fridges. The one I just got back from had both the coffin and round cans. Oddly enough, they were both the same price...99 cents. Needless to say, I bought what they had.

The coffin cans is what I was thinking about. I believe they're tweaked for Americans tastes, or lack thereof :^D

Huzzah, hallelujah, and praise be upon the General for deliverance is at hand for us poor benighted snusers of flyover country. For about the 412th time I looked on General's store locator today and nearly fell out of my chair to see that a number of convenience stores in the Topeka area were now offering General product. Out the door and down the street I discover that it's true, but not quite yet. Be a few weeks supposedly before nice new coolers full of the General's finest make their way into the stores but a-comin' they are.

Of course its "only" General but that will serve nicely to chase the Camel/Marlboro/Skoal blues away. Guy I talked to at one of the stores also said that Camel was preparing a big change in their product as well. Of course a new product from them might be worse than the current garbage but it's hard to see how.

Perhaps the advent of General will enable Mr. Rick to wedge a hushpuppy in the door of the market here. A guy can hope.
