Snus to quit smoking

When I was at uni I used to smoke 60 a day, I had the time then and you could smoke in pubs, restaurants etc so it was much easier. I cut down as I was too busy with work, didn't have the time to smoke, when I did I either chained it or had 1 and didn't finish it. Got to the point where price did it for me and my supply of cheap fags dried up, then snus made a wonderful appearance

Yeah the price of cigarettes is phenomenal alright. It definitely is a good incentive to cut down. for me though it was the health issues that was foremost in my mind and finally pushed me to find a way to quit. Having said that though, when i did smoke i always found time to nip off and have a few drags, work or no work lol.

i used to smoke 25-30 cigs a day, and did that for about 20 years. stopped instantly last monday, and now i take 3-6 snus a day. much better

I got my smoking down to about 4 or 5 a day and just continued it with snus. I am normally too busy in work to notice, i put one in then 3 or so hours later I realise I still have the portion in. Take it out, get on with it, have much, pop a snus in, go home have dinner, put a snus in afterwards, easy Few pinches of snuff in between if I remember and jobs a goodun.

Man, i never had that control when i was on the cigs. I guess it's just willpower and practise to get your usage down isn't it. After about 40 - 50 mins i'd take out my used Snus and throw another in, everytime.

Skell, 3 or 4 a day max!!!! I'd be pulling my hair out brother lol. But seriously a trip to Sweden is the bottom line isn't it? if all avenues become closed. I'd seriously consider it, sacrifices would have to be made, but it would be worth it to get Snus.

Lol yeah Fazer. I know i shouldn't be laughing brother, but it's either that or start crying about the situation we find ourselves in.

I only use about 3 a day 4 max anyway, so I should be good for the next year at least on what I have. With GN's generosity arriving soon I will be made hopefully till some good news comes our way. i can always do a quick weekend to Stockholm or Goteborg to pick some up and get some general, just the hassle of it though.

That's very good Skell. We're all watching our Snus use now and pretty soon Snus will be like gold. It really pisses me off what's happening, ffs i can get a packet of smokes 100yds down the road, and the trouble we're having just to get some snus. it's f***in unbelievable.

I have a few tins of Snuff here in the house, Wilsons of sharrow lemon toast, medicated, and Atherthon's jasmine. I tried to get into it, and used it for a few weeks but kept wanting Snus instead. That's a good point you make about nic tolerance though, and trying to get it down to where nasal stuff will actually work, especially when events in the EU have taken a turn for the worst. I might give snuff another try, and use it every now and then instead of Snus.
