Welcome to the forums :-)
You've got some nice pickings when it comes to swedish snus -
My favorites are listed in the signature.
Funny thing I always thought of sticking to one single brand/type of los but it's kinda' hard when there's so many types that I like ;-)

Let me introduce myself
I'm new to the forum. Dunno if this is the right place for this kind of thread. If it isn't maybe a mod could move it to a more appropriate section?
Well... I'm 43 years old and come from Sweden. I've been using snus for more than 20 years. Before I was in the army i used Skoal, Oliver Twist and stuff like that. When I was in the army (1990) i started snusning for real.
I also used Catch on some occasions in the 80's. In those days Catch Mini was also sold in a kind of plastic bag. Inside were small airtight pouches. That was the freshest Catch (or any kind) of snus I've tried. It came in two flavors. One bag was red the other blue. Not sure what the difference was.
Most of these years I've been using Grov portion. It was like that with many swedish snusers (and still is for many). We pick one brand/kind of snus and stay with it for years.
I also tried other kinds of course. Back in the days we didn't have so many to choose from. I remember Röda Lacket (loose) was one other snus I liked.
Then one day the doctor told me I had high blood pressure. So I decided to switch to mini snus. The only kind available with a reasonably neutral taste, was (original) Catch Mini. So I switched to that for some years.
Later I went back to Grov Portion again.
Now I am mainly using white portions from Swedish Match. Mostly Ettan white. I switched to white because it "runs" less and also causes less oral irritation.
On occasion I switch to Tre ankare, Grovsnus portion white or plain old Grov portion.
After the tax has been raised here (and other things) the snus prices are frightfully high. So I've been looking for some budget alternatives. Usually when it comes to budget snus I end up throwing away the can without finishing it.
Lately I found Smålands white (which except from quite small portions) was totally acceptable. Right now I'm using Taboca which is also ok.
When it comes to snus, I usually prefer those with a clean taste. I easily tire of flavored stuff.
So I joined this board today for some reason. I have been lurking here before many years ago and was quite flattered that Americans (and other nationalities) value one of our traditional products so much.
That's all for now.Tags: None
