    Snus Discomfort

I quit smoking between August 08 to December 08 with snus.
I started snusing again about 2 weeks ago.
On Sunday, my friend and I went to the Zoo.
Every time we saw a no smoking sign, we would pop in a portion for shits and giggles. Well, about half way through, I started feeling this extreme sense of discomfort. Like I just wanted to stand up, but when I stood up, I wanted to sit down.
    It really sucked.

That sense of discomfort went away after my last snus.
    Today (monday)
I had my History TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills)
I had a Nick & Johnny's on the way to school.
    All was well.
About half way through the test, I had to ask to go to the restroom, just to get up and move.
When I went down there I popped another in. (>2 hrs after first)
About 30 mins. later, I felt as though I needed to spit it out, so I did.
I felt that extreme discomfort again.
I went to sleep after I completed my test.
Once I woke up, the discomfort was gone.

So, the next class, I popped another in, and about 30 mins. later, I began to feel that extreme discomfort again.
At lunch, I caved and bought me a pack of Marlboro 27s.

Has anyone else experienced what I described?
And, what can I do about it.
I hate smoking, but love snusing.
    Thanks.

Perhaps you're just getting more nicotine than you actually need. Nick & Johnny is pretty strong stuff. I know that I've gotten uncomfortable when using strong brands in the past. I used to use a lot of Nick & Johnny loose and the discomfort would rear it's head when I exceeded my body's need for nicotine.

    Just my guess.

I absolutely agree. I think you are just getting a bit more nicotine than your body suddenly likes. What you described was exactly what I experienced after I chain snused Thunder a few months ago.

I'm sure it's too much nicotine at once.

You can be a 2 pack a day smoker, quit for a week, and get dizzy from just one cigarette. When I switched from cigarettes to snus it took awhile to get use to the nicotine levels.

N&J would usually do something similar to me. Try using a standard nic snus and see if they have the same effect.

I hope you feel better, but also your description of the "discomfort" was spot on. I've never been able to describe a nicotine OD so well. I know exactly what you mean about wanting to sit, then wanting to stand. Just not being comfortable in the place you are with no remedy
