Using lös with chronic dry mouth?

I tried General lös way back when I first started using snus and it was a disaster. The snus wasn't very moist since it had probably been sitting on the shelf for a long time, and I didn't know at the time the proper way to bake it, so I just grabbed a pinch like I used to with dip and stuck it in my upper lip, and that... didn't turn out well. Lately though, I've been branching out, trying new flavors, brands, etc, and I'm interested in trying it again, particularly Röda Lacket lös, but I have an issue with chronic dry mouth. It's probably the result of chronic snus use combined with a lot of medications that all list "dry mouth" as a side effect, but whatever.

I usually circumvent the issue by wetting the portions as much as I can with my tongue before sticking them in my upper lip, but I doubt this will work as well with lös snus, but I could be wrong. On the other hand, in this form, the snus comes in contact directly with the gums and it should already be quite moist if fresh, so do you guys think it'll still be an issue?

    Thanks.

Hey nicotine, I suggest simply carrying water around with you, or kicking back with a beverage at home. If you've read or heard to not drink with lös in for mudslide reasons, I suggest you find out what works best for you. I'm always drinking something. Good luck

Thanks, Roo. I'll mess around with it and see what works best. I'm definitely excited to try all my favorites in lös form, as well as Göteborgs Prima Fint, which isn't available in portions. I'm planning on learning how to handbake from the start, rather than use the prismaster (seems like it'd make too big of a prilla) or an icetool (too expensive). If I fail horribly, I'll make a ghetto tool, but the last thing I need is more drug paraphernalia lying around.

I agree with Roo......if you dipped in the past........yank a pinch in and keep some water/soda/whatever handy....I ate with a dip in and I have done it with snus......regardless.......however you keep your mouth hydrated without snus.......is the way you will keep it hydrated with snus........just takes a little
        practice

The dippers guide to snus has a lot of tips and tricks concerning all things los...check it out and add anything there that you find that helps

And Roo......good to see you mate.......hope you are doing well

I've actually just recently gotten up enough courage to try and eat small things while I have a snus in. Mostly when I've just put one in and start to get hungry right after... I've always been afraid in the past if I make it a habit, one time I'll forget I have a portion in, and my mouth will mistake the snus for more food, and ... haha.

I'll definitely check out the dipper's guide, thanks.
