It has been 8 years since I have been on a skateboard but I still have the itch to get one. Maybe a long board for my old ass to ride around on. I no longer would be able to kickflip, heelflip, hardflip, or 360-flip on demand like I use to but it would be fun to have one. I was really good and even came close to winning a few competitions back in the day but that was "the days". I would just like to relive those days by "skating" to the grocery store.
Thanks! (Sorry for the long-delayed response. Just now saw this.) I just resumed skating about a year and a half ago--and it had been a lot more than 8 years since I was on a skateboard, but I had had a Vew-Do balance board for messing around indoors for a while, which was part of what inspired me to get back on a skateboard. I started with a longboard but got the Alien Workshop shortboard shown in the pic and found myself riding it more and finding it more fun. (Still just mostly cruising, though. I'm very conservative about trying tricks these days.) But my current favorite board is a Krooked Zig Zagger fitted with pretty soft cruiser wheels--it's cruisier than the AW but more maneuverable and easier to carry in a store or somewhere than a longboard. Anyway, nothing beats skating while snusing!

Sad, but true! Sad because Massachusetts was the birthplace of the American Revolution and my great, great, etc. grandfather was a gunsmith who provided firearms for the revolution and ran a tavern. Sad that so many died for freedom and now we don't have it anymore. Sigh...

Lol. Just didn't work out. We were together for awhile. She even lived with me for about six months.

We are still friends, occasionally hang out and stuff.

I guess I'll post too. No, I'm not flexing in this pic. The only weight resistance my muscles get is lifting a beer can.Click image for larger version

Oh, you could easily get away with a mohawk in my office. But then again, we're not a typical office staff. A bunch of bookish computer nerds, aging hippies, and other assorted eccentrics. A mohawk would blend right in.
