I received an email today from the colonel. It only took 1 week to get to Afghanistan. Thanks again to everyone who participated, this was a very succesful snus attack.

Thank you Desirexe! I got your donation yesterday. I'm waiting on a couple more before I put together a smaller box (or maybe same size?) to send off before PACT. After June, the post office might not accept a box with tobacco written all over the customs declaration. Or are APO's exempt from PACT? I may recall reading that somewhere.... anyway thanks again Desi. More proof that you are the shit

I was doing some internet surfing and stumbled onto here. I noticed that you had a support the troops section. He is currently deployed and wont return until XMAS. He gave me a website to order him some(buysuns.com) I think. He said he quite using the camel and started using the sweedish portion snus. I really dont like him using it but i guess it better than smoking. I have really no clue what to get him. He said nothing to strong but minty and fruity or a mild tobaco flavor, whatever that means. The buysnus site confused me a little since I aint got a clue...Anyting that you can do I would greatly appreciate it...He also has a few buddies in his squadron that also rand out of their dip and has been diving into his stash...His address is...

Ok all you generous and praise-worthy members of snuson, I have a request: Thanks to the wonderful contributions from ladysnus (19 cans!), desirexe (snuson crush), my man Mike (2 donations, the first of which was a behemoth), and rickcharles606 (who's donations didn't fit in the first box), we have about 35 cans ready, and I understand RobS has some going out tomorrow or the next day. A few of you have expressed interest in donating, and if that interest has subsided or fallen prey to financial woes, no worries at all, but if the desire persists, now is the time. Here's the deal: AFWife, who posted above, sent me a PM with some more details. Her husband (not her son, sorry about that!) Don is station in Oman, and he is a bona fide Swedish snus fan, but for obvious reasons, cannot get his fix over there on the coastal tip of the Arabian peninsula. He likes minty snus, but not the real strong stuff, and has expressed to his wife an affinity for portion snus. I have a couple donated cans of Thunder Frosted and a couple Wintergreen, and just a few samples of General Mint, which I bet he would like. I would still like to send out a big ol' box like last time to a PFC in Afghanistan with no affiliation to the Colonel who received the first box, but I also told AFWife we would put together a modest offering for her husband Don. Personally, I am getting a little low on snus since my $185 dollar order from Getsnus from May 18 is still backordered, but I have a few to throw in. If anyone has been thinking about donating, and/or if anyone has an abundance of General Mint samples or bonus cans of the minis, I think Don in Oman would really appreciate them. So this is an attempt to rally our troops for the support of the real troops so that I may get a big ass package ready for a regular GI in Afghanistan, and a modest but most decent offering for the honorable Don stationed in Oman, mentioned above by his wife. It's been almost two weeks since I've updated this thread for my tiny, captive audience Here's the situation: RobS sent me a box of snus on June 14. I went out of town until Monday, then I've been at work all day for the last two days. Meanwhile, UPS has been trying to deliver Rob's package over the last 4 days, and it requires a signature. I left the slip signed outside but apparently that's not good enough anymore? Anyway, I just found out a couple things. First, Rob's package is being sent back to him. I've given him my work address and asked that he please try again. Second, RobS sent me 9.5 pounds of goodness that contains 95 cans! Ninety-five cans.... That is well over $200 worth of snus even at the best deal you can find. RobS, you are awesome beyond my wildest recognition. I just typed that same sentiment with a bunch of vulgarities and it didn't help, so I'll just say thank you. You are the man. Once I get this box from Rob we will have more than enough to go around for Afghanistan donor #2. In the meantime, I'm sending some of what I have from Mike, Ladysnus, and Rick to AFWife's husband above. That will go out tomorrow. By early next week the next shipment is going out, this time to a PFC in the Khost region of Afghanistan, the US-controlled quadrant of the country near the border with Pakistan.

Seeing how I haven't done this yet, here are a couple pics from the last box that went out. We were drunk and got a little carried away with our colorful Sharpie collection... that's the inside box in pic 2. I packed that inside of a bigger box. Double boxed. Like your Mom.
