Well we both agree Palin is off her rocker in that concern, as she has gone full retard (whcih is never a good idea) on almost every subject, but Bush said and did just about the same thing that Obama has done.

"President Bush 's address Thursday to a joint session of Congress...
-...We will not forget South Korean children gathering to pray outside our embassy in Seoul, or the prayers of sympathy offered at a mosque in Cairo...The terrorists practice a fringe form of Islamic extremism that has been rejected by Muslim scholars and the vast majority of Muslim clerics; a fringe movement that perverts the peaceful teachings of Islam. The terrorists' directive commands them to kill Christians and Jews, to kill all Americans and make no distinctions among military and civilians, including women and children...I also want to speak tonight directly to Muslims throughout the world. We respect your faith. It's practiced freely by many millions of Americans and by millions more in countries that America counts as friends. Its teachings are good and peaceful, and those who commit evil in the name of Allah BLASPHEME THE NAME OF ALLAH. The terrorists are traitors to their own faith, trying, in effect, to hijack Islam itself...In all that lies before us, may God grant us wisdom, and may he watch over the United States of America..." This. These words "commie" and "socialist" are thrown about with reckless abandon these days. Is communism a threat to OUR society? If so, please explain. And if you say that we are headed toward socialism with our current administration, I call Glenn Beck lol. Yes, fascists and some communist regimes seek to control of every facet of society, media, economics, and consumerism. While our government is rife with problems and I don't support much of our domestic and international agendas, if you claim that we are headed in that direction, or the EU is already halfway there, I call plain ol' bullshit.

No, at the beginning of last year I was onboard the soclaistz ar cominz!!!1!1one!! train but the events of this last year have proven that the exact opposite has happened. We instead continue to drive down the long perilous road of fascism, following the same path we did under Bush. Instead of social programs being pushed on us for the better of the people (which is always not what it results in), we are instead being sold all the reasons why we should bail out banks and prop up corporations that helped spell our demise and made a profit all along the way.

Is communism a threat to OUR society? At this point no. The USSR was broken up, and today the only communist regimes are the DPRK, China, Venezuela (socialist), Cuba.. all countries that have no real bearing or influence on us, minus china who is not a threat to us because we are business partners.

What I do worry about is that there will be a resurgence in communism in America. i.e. things get so bad that everyone declares that capitalism has failed and people cry that full blown communism is the only answer. I hear the whispers in our colleges amongst our students, and someday they will grow up. Do I think there is any real threat? No, not really.

But look at what our own country has become. We invade countries for various nefarious reasons, prop up dictators that are friendly to us and then turn our backs on them and topple their governments. Those who were our friends yesterday are our enemies today. We exploit foreign countries for their resources and our inteligence agencies have their tentacles in every pot of honey across the globe. What did we do after the fall of Germany? We recruited the nazi scientists under project paperclip, and then again with the Japanese after they were nuked into submission. We bend and change the rules and as we see fit, and choose our morals as we go, all under the idea that the ends justify the means.

Corporations and banks all conspire together to make a profit while the very country that breathed life into their wallets in the first place crumbles at the brink of a depression. Our politicians ignore the will of the people and their arms bend like rubber to the requests of their corporate masters. This is fascism in it's infancy.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." -- Thomas Jefferson

30 million or more without jobs, going hungry or otherwise going without. Meanwhile the CEO's of America's largest companies cut multi-million dollar bonuses and the supreme court rules that these corps can directly influence elections, and therefore domestic policy.

My message to our leaders: Please, oh please God, do not allow Judge Faust to be correct in his statements about our country. Let us find our roots again and balance the budget, bring the troops home and use them only for defense, and let us remember what made us great.

EDIT: 30 million or more unemployed. We are a large country and our local communities help to prop these people up untill we recover. But what does 30 million unemployed look like? 33 MILLION IS THE POPULATION OF CANADA. Imagine everyone in the entire country of Canada being unemployed. We already have that, and its growing. Something must be done.

All good points my friends. But we need not worry. When all the oil runs out and there are no more gas stations the muslims will leave. When Walmart becomes fully automated and no employees will be needed the muslims will leave. When all dunkin donuts are banned from this country for contributing to the obesity of the population the muslims will leave. Why continue to stay in the USA if there are no longer any jobs that they qualify for?

          profound logic by PP

Holy shit. PP just solved the nations problems in 1 sentence or less.... lol.

Nationalize 7-11's and we won't have to worry about Muslims anymore.

I had I feeling I had forgotten something. I've never been in a taxi. So that aspect wasn't as transparent as the other examples.

I don't live near the city at all. I'm out kind of in the country where you have to drive everywhere. So, no I've never been in a taxi. Except in Jamacia, Cuba, Dominican Republic etc.

And YEA...... how many guestbooks do you think God has time to comment in? It was awfully nice of Him. Truth be told He was compelled to sign mine as I am the ideal employee.

i've always thought the same but i really wouldn't want europe to turn muslim.

I almost know none muslim country right now that isn't problematic.

Also, muslim customs are not nice.

Well, it's an enforced theocracy, that does not recognize freedom of religion, and it fanatically intolerant of any criticism of Islam. It simply does not work in a modern diverse nation of freedom wanting people.

The problem is that we got a melting pot over here and Islam is like a giant brick, it doens't melt too well with the other ingredients. They come from arguably the most intollerant countries with the most intollerant religion and are used to nothing but oppression and I think it is hard for them to adjust. The few Muslims I do know though are very American so I know it can be done. Then again they are like most Christians, kinda just muslim by name only . I don't believe it is possible to be orthodox muslim and get along with any other cultures, since it is strictly forbidden in the Quaran to do so.
