Ok fan boys....light 'em up. Ps3 vs Xbox360

Castlevania was the jam! That's all I can contribute. I love to play GTA at my buddy's house, but if I try to play any other current games I get laughed at. And I always have to invert the look-up look-down settings. Question for you guys: how well do your wives/girlfriends tolerate all this video game playing?

castlevania 1 and 3 are some of my all time faves. i love those games dearly. not 2, that one sucks balls.

my gaming has been part of my life much longer than my girlfriend. she'll never usurp its position in my priorities. though shes usually pretty cool about things that keep me from becoming a serial murderer. and sometimes she (used to) get into games with me. we played co op castle crashers together, and shes awesome at zuma, and watched me play through mass effect and stuff. but lately shes been going to bed early so i just stay up all night playing. i feel its the only time i get a moments peace.

dude ive always wanted rondo of blood. after a lengthy bit of time trying to pirate it i gave up. i do love richter belmont though, potentially my favorite belmont. his blue gear and headband shit just looks sweet. symphony of the night is dope for sure, but i got stuck and frustrated in it.

i like all the castlevanias on the DS a lot. i still need order of ecclesia, but dawn of sorrow and portrait of ruin are some of the most fun ive ever had on a handheld that didnt involve pokemon. i think if i had to pick a fave though, its be cv 3: draculas curse. dawn of sorrow was sweet because if you beat it you could play through again as richter belmont, with the mage chick and genya arikado being like the mage chick and alucard from draculas curse, and you basically play through it just like cv3, rather than the symphony of the night style where you acquire new weapons and magic and shit.

Yea, I played one of the newer Castlevania games that came out for the DS not expecting a whole lot, but was hooked. I played them all now, the DS has some really good games.

PS3 for me. Compared to the Xbox 360 it was the small details that won me over like built in wi-fi (instead of spending $100 on that damn xbox wireless adaptor), usb rechargeable controllers and you can upgrade the PS3 HDD with most 2.5" SATA hard drives unlike like the 360 with its proprietary HDD.

Nowadays you can't go wrong with either system I guess, for style/function I say buy foreign.

The built in Wifi is nice. I mean, even the Wii has it. I just run a really long Cat 5 for the Xbox.

purchased a 360 a few months ago, no complaints. picked up and finished bioshock, now i'm on to fallout 3 and street fighter 4. I imagine both will last until final fantasy xiii comes out.

im on modern warfare 2 now. i gotta admit, im crazy in love with it. i no longer have any real interest in playing left 4 dead 2. mw2 is so awesome.

Thanks to your recommendation I decided to download the demo of ikaruga. I see that its developed by Treasure who are the same folks who did Gunstar Heroes which was also very good.

I like it, even though I suck at it I think I'll download the full game at some point.

Although not the same type of game I recommend you giving Shadow Complex for the XBLA a go if you haven't yet. Great 2D side scrolling game in the same vein as Super Metroid for the SNES. It's for sure worth a try.

I'm a 360 guy. i was able to buy a 360 a good samsung blu-ray player for less than a ps3 would cost, you just have to buy from the right guys. e-bay is a great place to go. you can find a brand new in the box 360 from an online retailer who has virtually zero overhead, so they can sell them dirt cheap.
