Nice. That is the only pro to the Wii. I don't really care for the controller, just the Mario/Zelda/Metroid games. That's why my vote goes with the 360. It truly is overall the best system of the three.

Played Atari too much as a kid so I skipped the Nintendo.
Played PS2 way too much so this time I am skipping these new gaming systems.

I still have my Atari, and and emulator for the Xbox. Combat, Frogs and Flies, Space Invaders. There were a lot of cool Atari games.

Atari2600 was the only console I owned. The most modern I've played is the Xbox original.

Isn't it amazing the modern day videogames have come from Atari Pong to Fallout 3 and grand theft auto type games? I mean I think the videogame sector has advanced more than most industries in the last 10 years alone.

My dad has an Odyssey and it still works. It has like 15 games and they are all basically Pong. It also has these funny screen overlays that stick to your tv with static cling.

Our Wii is for our 4 year old but my wife does use the Wii Fit. I like the casualness of it but it is certainly not for serious gamers which I would say is a good thing. I don't need to be wasting the time or money on the latest FPS and I certainly can do without being cussed at by 12 year olds in Korea because I don't play 14 hours a day.

That's what i've seen most with 360. More games, the graphics look roughly the same, and I still use DVDs, and I don't really plan on going to Blu Ray until I absolutely have to. (like switching from VHS to DVD). So far 360 is looking like the one for me.

lol, man it's amazing to see how fast technology moves. If younly every other industry could move as fast as the computing industry we'd be set.

I mean I remember the old green screen computers that did nothing but basic word processing (and I mean basic as in just records what you type, nothing else), and how if you left the image on the screen for too long it would burn the image into the monitor lol.

And nowadays we are just 1 step short of minority report style computer interfaces.

Speaking of which, when is someone going to invent some damn holograms that sci fi movies/novels have been promising us for 50 years?

I just bought a Wii for my kids for xmas this year. I have played it several times and I really enjoyed it. The graphics are not as good as the other mentioned, but oh well.

I am a HUGE Guitar Hero fan, that will be my next game purchase. I really want the new Van Halen one: http://hub.guitarhero.com/games/ghvh

Now I am sure we will wind up with Rock Band simply because it has a mode where they don't boo you off stage (which works well for my 5 and 6 yr olds). Plus I want the drums. My sister had the GH world tour and I liked it ok, they ended up selling it tho.
