    Especially not when you call them DMB. :wink:

    Sorry, It's just that I went to college at a time when neo-hippie fraternity boys with their frayed baseball caps playing frisbee on the quad was enough to turn my stomach. But then again my generation of punk rockers was probably equally offensive to the punks from the late seventies.

    If I havn't offended everyone, my group wasn't any more impressed with the clove smoking vampire nerds. :lol:

      I associate them with the feel of 90's music (which is still my favorite "genre"). I call it a genre, because 90's music had a completely different feel to it. Sublime, Dave Matthews Band, 311, Blues Traveler, Sister Hazel, Third Eye Blind - I loved 90's music. I just liked "feel good" music, and that was alot of what 90's music was all about. So any chance I get to see an ol' 90's band around, I'm down.

        Haven't welcomed you to SnusOn yet, have I? welcome to the fold, brother.

        And I was introduced to Cloves when I met my ex, we lived on a military base, and a guy came over from England in 2005 and was talking about them, and he was a punk rockerish guy, said they were all the rage over there, so we tried them, and they were a staple anytime we went out from the on.

          Yeh sure, I'm just joking around. I like Sublime. The punks just enjoyed being contrarians. Of course, "we become what we hate" so now Im living in the suburbs ordering fine cigars and snus from the internet, clipping coupons, listening to talk radio and somehow obsessing over the Beatles.

                Mine will be 3 in February. Nothing will make you grow up faster than having a kid, getting a divorce, getting custody - and doing the single dad thing. Nothing else mattered anymore but her.

                  Next Cigarettes will follow what is used in Europe and what you see on Pall Mall packs now.

                  Orange=Ultra Lights
                  Blue=Lights
                  Green=Menthols
                  Red= Full flavored.

                  Because you cant use terms such as low nicotine, lights, etc. (I think thats how Pall mall are labeled, Europe has their own fancy way).
                  EXACTLY. R.J. Reynolds re-named the Pall Mall line, their cigarette brand that sells poorly, in order to "teach" smokers what to expect when terms such as "light" and "mild" disappear. From what I've heard, Camel "Lights" are going to be called Camel "Blue", even though the packaging will remeain identical.

                    I don't really see how this will help. Most young smokers I have met in the past were all smoking newports since they were 12, because their parents smoked newports and told them not to (or shared).

                    Could kids even afford to smoke cloves on a regular basis? To me this just feels like punishing responisible smokers who enjoy taste rather than cheap bulk cigarettes. I'm not a smoker, but when I turned 18 I tried a djarum blacks a few times, and enjoyed them, but couldn't finish a single menthol or light cigarette.

                        "California-based Kretek International Inc., now sells clove cigars that look and taste like its clove cigarettes."

                        Looks like they changed the name, called them cigars, clove on...

                          When I was a young punk I do recall it was the goth/vampire chicks that were always smoking those babies at shows.

                          Those clove cigars do sound interesting! I always bought the red tin non-filtered one's.

                          I wish they would make a clove snus before I die.

                            Dont worry folks the spice must flow and the clove manufacturers are all over it. I was talking with a local tobacconist a few weeks ago while buying some Djarum Blacks before the ban went into effect and she let me in on some interesting news.

                            She told me that the clove manufacturers were going to start using brown cigar-type paper for their cloves and would be reclassifying them as little cigars to take advantage of the hypocritical loophole. They also are allowed to sell what remaining stock they have even past the date of the ban so she bought up a butt-load of stock so she can keep selling them for months after it goes into effect. She told me she had already ordered the first few cases of the "cigar" type cloves and that she would be getting them in within a month or so I believe. Anyhow just thought I'd let you all in on that little tidbit so you can rest easy.

                                I hate the damned things... nothing worse than going to a bar and smelling one... I ALWAYS obnoxiously announce "who's roasting the ham?" I dunno, they disgust me...
