......It's not about a little spicyness in the threads, also not about having to deal with single morons (we all aren't perfect), but somewhere the point would be reached where all the civilized possible new members will think that it's no use to join this forum, and mostly idiots, trolls or 'professional agitators' join in, like it presumably happened to SMPOST at some point......
Seriously....so which catigory do I fit in? :?
Don't go Subtilo.
Actually, PP, believe it or not, but when I made that posting, I thought that I should clarify that you are not meant at all *), but then I thought that it should be clear anyway.
But yeah, really, don't go Subtilo! Better help us to kick the few douchebags out of the forum again!
Subtilo...Please don't leave. I realize I have not been around here for very long. And for all I know I could be one of the "assholes" to whom you are referring too. But I do know that no matter what, anyone who has been here for as long as you have leaves the forum it will not be as good a place as it was. Hell even I think that in just two weeks after I got here there was some sort of weird thing that happened and all of a sudden things took a turn for a worse. I do encourage you however to make a strike at trying to improve where you see things needing improved and give it a good college try.
Best of luck if you really have signed off for good...I hope not

I can do kicking.
There are a lot of different nationalities on this forum all with different backgrounds, culture and political view. This means that no matter what you're like, you'll have to adjust to people that are most definitely not like you. Don't use this wrong, SnusOn is not place for cursing, flaming or personal attacks. If you love snus, this is the right place to stay, but if you can't enjoy this place and people in peace it's better that you leave the board today.

... and if you guys don't understand what Subtilo wrote, I need to start cleaning this place.
Respect the forum, it's yours, newbies, and ours that put lot of effort that the forum exist.

Right on Ice. Nice choice of words. I will make an effort to dial down the cursing. I have a somewhat foul mouth arounds friends, but I can certainly refrain if you prefer the forum to be a little cleaner, which it sounds like you do. Either way, first and foremost this forum to me is about reading and sharing opinions and experiences with snus, as well as all kinds of other topics. We are all part of a diverse community and over time we get to "know" each other a little, and I personally find it very interesting to hear what everyone has to say about almost anything.
What I don't like is when people forget how to treat each other with respect. I understand that "this is the internet" blah blah, but I too am of the opinion that if someone wants to be disrespectful or say really offensive things (some dirty joking aside -- we love you PP and lots of us do it too), those people should take it elsewhere to a less distinguished and less respectful forum. That is of course just my opinion, and it's not a matter of "getting offended on the internet", but doing our best to make sure this remains a place we still enjoy for the same reasons that made us join the forum to begin with. And I use the word distinguished because only 1 year ago as a newbie I was really impressed with the level of intelligence, courtesy, humor, intrigue, and community this forum and its members represented.
I will certainly try to revise my choice of words from now on. I will also try to not be such a smart ass. However, to be fair, I think every forum needs at least one troll and I was just trying to do my part to fullfill that need. oink oink
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......
I've been wrong lots of times. Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

You're alright PP. I like your irreverent humor :^D
PP! This forum would quite seriously be fifty percent less entertaining and amusing without you. If you "clean" up your act in the least, I quit. When I speak of humor on this forum, I am largely referring to you. Your posts are the best, buddy.
Thanks for the vote of confidence guys. But I fear that I actually might be to blame. I have gone alittle overboard a few times too. I'm sure the problem is that the new members see what other older members here get away with sometimes and they join in and things begin to escalate. I never used much foul language here but after seeing some new members do it then I began to also. So some of us get carried away and push it to the next level. Thats the explaination for the language.
Now the reason for the flameing, bashing, nastiness of some of these threads is beyond me. Maybe some people get too carried away trying to prove a point or convert others to their opinions. Either way we should all try to get along. Generally I try not to get mixed up in the political, religious, etc threads. Sure I throw in a zinger every now and then and toss in my opinion but I never argue. We all have our own opinions and I'm not gonna change anyones. Besides I know I'm always right. 8)
I know I push the limits joking around sometimes tho. But everyone can find me because I use this name, one of my businesses name. My website and email address are really easy to find so it wouldn't be good for me to be a really bad guy here. I have a great reputation for what I do and I am honest. So when I joke around I really do walk a fine line and I have to be carefull what I say for my own benefit.
So I try to be good, but its really hard cuz I like to kid around. Besides I need to be good here cuz about every other website on the WWW has already banned me. jk

Dang, I just can't leave this place. But I realize that me saying that I would twice in the same thread makes me look somewhat like a cry baby (and therefore the new avatar ops: ).
Well, cry baby or not, I stand by my rants. This place has become more and more like SMPOST (thanks, Chainsnuser, for posting the link), but as I've said before: that's the price to pay for the rising popularity of snus. It's up to us all (not just the mods) to keep snuson from going all the way (down) - and of course it wouldn't be particular constructive of me to just leave.
I hope I havn't made a complete fool of myself (or others), and I hope, if nothing else, that my recent posts have at least inspired people to post in a bit more thoughtful manner. Yes, I know that social codes etc. are very different in forums and on the internet in general, but that doesn't mean that one shouldn't respect that others have spend a lot of time building places up and therefore feel very strongly about it (Sage will surely agree with me here!).
For me snuson has always been a warm, friendly, thoughful, and sometimes silly -- and that's pretty unique compared to a lot of other places I've visited. There's still a lot of interesting thoughts and perspectives in here! One just have to look a bit harder these days, I think.
NB: I'm not advocating for a no-swearing, on-topic-only place, not at all! That's not my point, and I actually enjoy reading the more spicy political and religious threads a lot. All I wish for is a bit of respect for others, noobs, veterans, whatever.
I’m so glad I grew up in the 70s and 80s, it’s a shame my kids will never see the place I called home. The lack of respect in today's society is unreal,...
