Glad you're deciding to stay, dude. I also started posting much less frequently a while back; the 5-page threads of inane bullshit along with the rampant political ball-kicking just got to be annoying. That being said, I respect the old regulars who have stayed here through it all. You guys are the best source for information here, and will continue to be. 8)

Xobeloot will be around. I suspect he just needs the rest. I did the same thing last year. But then felt so bad when I came back cause I guess I freaked a whole bunch of folks out that I vowed I wouldn't disappear again.

I just laugh at the pomposity of certain individuals here that think that they need to be "the line drawer" to people with different opinions from them. That's just so ****ing absurd I don't know where to begin to pick it apart.

I joined up here as a bet from some fellows at another tobacco site. We were remarking about how a certain couple of members seem to attack newbies immediately, almost always without any other reason than "to keep things straight." Anyway, long story short, the bet was that one of us could join up here, voice an opinion about something, and then get attacked by a certain individual who has a propensity to attack new members who dare to speak their minds.

So, the bet was that in the span of ten posts in ten hours, one of us would get flamed by two or three choice members. Guess what? All three of us faced the wrath of these guys. Now, I'm sticking around because I love snus. The other two won't, because it was a pure shill experiment. Either way, I have a couple of cans of Toque coming my way for correctly estimating the flame off timespan.

What this experiment proved was that the same two or three guys that are a bit, uh, overzealous in their quest to make everyone think like them are completely predictable in every way, and are well known outside of snuson. And that really sucks for snuson and anyone that pops in with an opinion or an idea that doesn't fit in with the rest of the crowd, because what you're going to end up with here is a forum with three guys and 10,000 posts between them, and another thousand members that came in, posted twice, got flamed by the three alpha members, and subsequently left.

But don't take it from me, I've only been here a very short while. At this point I'm still an outsider looking in, but I'd very much like it to be the opposite. I just hope that I can bypass the bullshit that some of the older members like to throw around undeservedly.

Wow... thanks for posting that. That's crazy. Sorry you got ballbusted so hard on snuson Lucky Striker. Welcome man, hope it turns out to be more fun. I'm not sure why I like it but I do. Not as much lately, but that doesn't mean I don't frequent the site almost every day. Too bad people are getting so bummed out here lately.

The way I see it is the new dicks won't last long. The old guys who step "out of line" will get gently pushed back in. This forum is one of the few self correcting ones I've seen.
The thing that disappoints me most recently is all the political BS. We have members from around the world and fighting about American politics is out of place here. Everytime I see a political post I stop reading the whole thread. I have better places to discuss/argue about politics than a snus board.

I just went through every single thread you were in, and the only time you were anywhere close to being flamed is when you made quasi political statements. When you bring politics to a discussion, you get what you get. I stay out of political discussions for that exact reason.

Your post is disingenuous at best, and I don't appreciate you implicating me as being part of some kind of "honor guard". Other than Sage engaging you as part of a political opinion(which is to be expected), you were never flamed.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again now. I stand behind everything I've said online, since I've been online. By searching this board you can find clues that'll lead you to just about every place I've ever been. I'm not going to make it easy for you, but the clues are there if you wish to research it ;^)

Just to clarify, lsxkllr, you weren't part of the equation, and 10,000 posts is an exaggeration. I was speaking roughly, and "three members with ten thousand posts apiece" does not translate literally. You gave me a warm welcome here, and I appreciate it.

The rest of what you posted was kind of funny. Snuson continues to grow by leaps and bounds. We are getting more new members now than we ever have. So obviously, you are simply incorrect, and anyone who has been here for even 3 months knows that.

For the rest of us, we are here because we love snus. I hope you come to love it too and do stick around for that reason
