I actually decided to post because of Sagedil, lxskllr, etc.

I probably just lurked here for about 2 weeks and then after seeing there knowledge and opinions of things, it made me want to chime in for advice on their experiences and how they could help lead me in the proper direction as a new snuser.

So, I posted, and Sagedil was one of the first to respond. He knew I was new, I had quite a few questions, and I was greeted pleasantly by all of the top posters on this board. In fact, I check this forum multiple times a day while I'm at work. I find this a great community. This is coming from a new person who wasn't shoo'd away from the top dogs here.

While Snuson IMHO is still much better and much more civilized than the formerly informative SMPOST, it would already be hard to make fun about them today. The type of threads and postings that lead to the fact that I, personally, never became a member of SMPOST, even back then when I wasn't yet a member here and much more often lurked on SMPOST to get snus-news, has meanwhile been posted here too.

It's not about a little spicyness in the threads, also not about having to deal with single morons (we all aren't perfect), but somewhere the point would be reached where all the civilized possible new members will think that it's no use to join this forum, and mostly idiots, trolls or 'professional agitators' join in, like it presumably happened to SMPOST at some point.

We should all help that this never happens here!

I WAS a member of SMPOST, posted there a number of times, found it right when I found snus. It was 6 months later that I read a post there that mentioned Snuson, came here, and never went back.

Even on our worst days, we aren't even close to being as bad as it was/is. Half the posts there are from dippers saying how stupid snus is.

Still, good to think for a moment about what we want to be.

Subtilo, I would hope you wouldn't let the fools dictate your decisions. At least for me, what other people do doesn't effect how I choose to spend my time. i just ignore the one's that should be ignored. but your decision, I support you however you decide, but know that you would be missed!!
