Once the dust settles, you all need to move up north.

I'm just concerned about our baby living where we used to live, gunshots every night etc, not a nice place to live. My wife is like "well I grew up there and i'm fine", but if you look around the area you won't find anyone like my wife, it's an almost Hollywood'esq ghetto where everyone just stands outside selling crack all day, weve had multiple vehicles stolen, had people with guns in our backyard (the swat team had to come in our house to neutralize them) etc. I want her living here with me where it's safe and in a nice community (and school district). We havn't hashed out the details yet, but yah at this point I just want to make sure our daughter is safe.
I cuddle her every night and I couldn't imagine going a night without sleeping next to her, let alone a lifetime. That's why the police were called yesterday, I became very adamant about how they would have to come pry her out of my cold dead hands before anyone takes her anywhere. The cops didn't seem to think it unreasonable and were very polite about it, and apologized that they had to be a bother but that by law they have to respond to every call. We mainly talked about how the main officer used to work at a job in an insurance comany like me and how much he hated it lol.

I hope everything works out OK for you - it's so important to think of the kids in situations like that. As for me and my tomatoes - I have added calcium but it's more to do with the fact that I went away for a week and let's just say that someone didn't quite water them quite as often as they said they would. If I'd have had a gun when I found out about that ... who knows what would have happened (smiley to show that I'm joking and don't want a gun)
Just buy a fake (but realistic looking gun) and a bunch of bulk ammo and have it lying around the garden. No one will ever forget to water your plants again

Thanks Roo (and everyone else). I don't want to get into it, but our relationship has been perfect and we almost never fight. She just backed herself into a corner and kept doubling down on things until eventually she had no recourse but to say "I'm leaving you and going to my mothers house!". The cops made her stay the night but she will be leaving later today. I don't think she really wants a divorce, and frankly this is all from out in left field as just the day before we were talking about how great our marriage was and how happy we were together.

    Women...

I love her though, but her calling the police to try and manufacture drama and escelate the situation is sort of a last straw for me. We all know how much I don't like the government, and the worst thing she could do is call the police to come embarras us infront of our house in a nice community where things like this never happen. It was very sad and I feel bad that she would bring this shame to our family and to herself frankly. But we all have to live with our actions. This too shall pass.

2.5 million people use a firearm in self defense. That's 80 people per day. 1 in 6 said they believed someone would be dead had they not resorted to using their defensive arm.

So while the TV shows all of Europe everytime some whacko shoots people, be reminded that every single day in america lives are saved because we are allowed to own firearms.

200,000 women per year use guns to defend themselves against sexual abuse. In fact, overall, the studies show that handguns help women more often than men.

In 2008, responsible gun owners killed more violent criminals than did the police department. (1,527 vs 606)

Woman: 'I shot him as much as I could'. The crying woman told a 911 operator she "shot him as much as I could" and moments later police found her would-be attacker dead in the back yard of her Gwinnett County home. The woman was getting out of the shower when 34-year-old Israel Perez Puentes, armed with a knife, dragged her to the bedroom where he planned to rape her, police said.

This happens 80 times a day, every single day in America. Notice how it's mainly old ladies and other weak or young people who would have lost in a fair fight, thus the reason for carrying a gun. Guns empower the helpless to stop crime and harm upon themselves or others.

I could post 500 more. The 2.5 million stories wouldn't fit on this page though.

Just keep it as food for thought when you want to talk about getting rid of guns, you are literally talking about killing millions of people, as well as taking away an inaliable right that was promised to us by the founders of this country, a promise we don't plan to break any time soon.

Yes I am familiar with it and tried it a big, but it's not very efficient for growing full sized plants. I use aeroponics to clone things but once the roots are developed there is really no need for the aeroponic portion of it anymore. Plus those damn misters get clogged up very often and you have to use special nutrients that are completely soluble and don't chunk up or you're screwed.

Damn, that sucks. Sorry to hear that.

I was just looking at your profile earlier today and I saw a couple of your posted photos. She's definitely a looker.

... and your daughter is a cutie, she definitely took from the best of both of you.

I hope you two get things sorted out peacefully.

I can see that trying to ban firearm ownership would be an impossible task even if it was the desire of the population.

sgreger1 - I do respect what you say normally, I take that bit back - I will just respect it more without the shouting - same way as I always do in real life. And OK - your tomatoes are only just a little bit synthetic - but at least yours are ripe already ... mine are all green with blossom-end-rot. Enjoy them!
Man i've got so many hundreds of tomatoes from my (now 5) tomato plants it's crazy, i'm giving them away at work, to the baby sitter, and my wifes mom is using them at her restaurant as well. Literally like 20 a day are coming off these plants. I apologize for being in such a pissy mood last night. My wife asked for a divorce last night and then when I told her she wasn't bringing our child to live with her mom (in one of the worst ghettos in San Francisco), she called the police saying she felt threatened. Ultimately the policed laughed about the whole thing and told everyone to have a nice night, but yah that's why when I get back on my computer and see a thread about this I am like "Oh **** no these mother ****ers aren't at this topic again", and went in guns blazing, bringing the anger I was already carrying into the situation. For that I apologize.

And if they have blossom end rot, add calcium in there with some crunched up eggshells or something, anything to get more calcium & magnesium into the soil. It can be fixed pretty quickly and the next ones to turn into fruit shouldn't have that issue.
