Bill and headers when you came to life did you know that you are part of universe?, do not think so , universe is created by something with the program like gen like DNH as simple as that

Yeah, that's a great way of explaining it

You guys misinterpret the word "god". The gods of religion are a just a metaphorical image of different powers. The one and almighty god often stands for the oneness of the universe and the power and intelligence that brought it all together. I am not religious, but I do belive in god in the sense that there is an immense intelligence in all there is; too great for us to comprehend. We are not a part or seperate from god, because all is one, and we are it. If you doubt the existence of this great intelligence, think about how the atoms can hold together, how molecules can form (known to us) material, how your heart beats without a break, how your cells repair themselves and propagates, how flowers grow in to complex geometrical patterns, how nature is balanced, how we are not thrown of earth while it's rotating, etc. There is an intelligence and beauty in everything.

I go by the view that we are the universe experiencing itself, simply. God is a really bad word with too much misinterpretation.

On religion: The main religions of the world is just a political system. The basic message of them all are always the same (a pretty good one), but with different cultural differences to forward it. They all have also been widely misinterpreted, and developed in to some kind of psychosis, IMO.

The bottom line is that, 5k years ago, everyone prayed to the sun God. Do you believe this is evidence that a sun God exists? Where did he go when people stopped praying to him? Where did the Roman God's go after people stopped praying to them? Where will the christian God go when people stop praying to hi? You see, they never existed, Athena, Zeus, Ra, Isis, Allah, God, none of these are real things, so they cease to exist once people stop believing in them. Sort of like the eater bunny.

I'm with mdisch on this one, while I would love to believe in a God, there is significant evidence that this can all be explained without the need for some kind of foreign God to have started the process. I also agree with what Truthwolf was saying in that I think nature is more "intelligent" than we currently give it credit for. Not intelligent like a sapient being or a God, but it appears that the universe itself is an organism of it's own kind, ticking like a clock and following a certain method which is fiendishly complex and more astoundingly; it works. The only real explanation for this in my mind is that we live in a multiverse, where every possible outcome is expressed eventually in one of the universes. Eventually, a universe like ours would come into existence with just the right attributes to support things like life, the laws of phsyics etc. So either we are part of a very special universe that hit a certain sweet spot, or there is something else going on. Probably not a God though, that seems like sort of a cop out to just say "A wizard did it".
that is what I am saying Sgreg. There is NO Evidence because people seem to perceive God (as an old man, a humanoid, a person, someone up there in the sky watching on us an punishing us). I bet a lot of the people do so...... or they just pray to GOD and they don't even know what GOD is.

God is Universe, God is Love, God is Beauty, Kindness .... We all all God. (the god is within US)

The religion is another story which I would never fall to believe again. It has been purely made up for financial and other interest. Even in Romania for centuries the Church has pulled up money from the population endlessy without shame.

Sgreg, do you know some facts about US for example? Well, I can tell you about Romania. In Romania about 2 - 3 Churches are build every single day (600 a year on average) We have more than 40,000 chruches for a population of 26 million.

If you have a wedding in Romania you have to pay to the prist $200 - $5000 (it's a must, otherwise there's no ceremony)

If you have a baby (what's it called ..... Christinized at its birth you have to pay a couple hundred as well.

Everyone gives money to the Chruches (money that doesn't serve the poor) it serves the rich. (the prists that drive BMW7, Mercedes S Class, BMW x8 and a ton of expensive Jeeps) whilst some of the population is starving.

It's known that the "TOP" priests are up to their neck in some of the most important businesses in Romania.

A lot of the priests and monks in the churches are gay and many have sex with children and other miseries.

    Now is there GOD?

It's just a way of saying ...... GOD is positive energy and everything in between.

What evidence is there that a single entity created this all? There is none. We have many models to describe the universe, and not one includes a God as part of it. No actual science or mathematics have ever led toward the conclusion of a creator or God, in fact right now there is as much proof as Ra or Zeus or the Sun Gods as there is of the modern Christian God.

What I wonder is, how do so many people believe in God, when there is no evidence for his existence? Why not believe in the Easter bunny? Why not some alternate God? Considering how there is 0 evidence for a God, and a lifetime's worth of evidence of no God, I am confused in what compels people to believe in his existence.

Can someone help me out? Why believe in something which no one has ever met, and where no proof exists? Why believe in it then?
Because our universe has rulles , it has rulles which it follows , from chaos can not came up rulles throw bols on the flor chaoticly will they after bild something ? Never . So someone gave the starting point for his creation , then who was that who made that "guy" it is a quastion we will never know

Not sure if I understand your quote correctly, but there is a LOT of mathematics behind the multiverse theory and pretty much everything else aside from the "we live in a computer simulation" theory. The idea of a multiverse is one of the prevailing theories that most famous scientists appear to believe in today.

Same thing happened to me! When I was younger it became aparent that everything was like a fractal. It's all spheres rotating around spheres, who in aggregate form larger more solid spheres who then rotate around other even larger spheres, and so electrons orbit nuclei to make up planets which orbit suns, which make up solar systems which orbit galaxies, which on and on and on and on. In the end, we may be the bacteria of the universe, our entire universe may just be an atom of a much larger universe, we may just be the quantum level of the (much) larger "real" universe, and we are but one small piece of the puzzle, like an individual grain of sand amongst a billion other universes that make up a single grain of sand on a beach in some larger universe. Who knows man, who knows. Maybe it's just heat death and everything gets cold and burns out in a few billion years, there's just no way for us to know for sure this early in the game.

I've thought that myself. There's a lot of interesting possibilities regarding the nature of things, but most will never be provable. It's fun to think about though :^)

For what it's worth, I once had a Sociology professor that claimed only the very rich and the very poor have strong beliefs in a God. The rich, because they have the cash and leisure time and the poor because they only have desperation.

He's dead now (the professor, not God), so I guess he knows weather or not he was right!

BTW, he never mentioned anything about aliens.
