Can't sleep right...cant ever sleep right

Yeah yeah I'v been to the doctor. Got me some uh...*looks at the bottle* Trazodone. It helps but i dont like taking it cause of the risk of getting hooked and NEEDING it. I was just wondering...anyone else have chronic sleep issues? I can only ever sleep when my body is utterly exhausted, usually around 4-5 AM. Dunno why.

Try and sleep with a portion of snus. You will sleep deeply and have some amazingly realistic dreams.

take 6 shots of Crown Royal, pop in a portion and quickly lay down before you pass out.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I have sleep issues as well. I blame it on shift work (though i do drink 3 to 4 pots of coffee a day). I used prescription sleep aids, wild dreams man! What worked for me in the past was move my workouts from the morning to the evenings... now i gotta work shift work.. so that really doesn't help. Have you tried counting sheep? Catching sheep? Sodomizing sh...

Try the sleep aid, after awhile you body might get accustomed to a better sleep schedule and you can move forward with out the aid.

You could also try to smoke some marijuana if you are open to that. I don't do it myself but I have noticed people tend to sleep very quickly after a little smoke. I am not sure if you have medical marijuana in your state or not but in California they will give anyone with $150 a prescription for it. It will probably be even safer to use than the prescription sleeping pills.

I used to have horrible insomnia...I tried everything from meditation, to sleep-aids (OTC & RX), to limiting my caffiene intake and it seemed nothing worked. Now, I will put CNN on the tv...within 15-30 minutes I'm out. Even sooner if its CSPAN. I too had the fear of getting hooked on the sleep-aids as I did get hooked on Ambien. Have you tried reading?

No weed thanks XD But, I do need relief. As for sleeping with a portion in, I thought that Nic gave you energy in a way, and using anything with nic in it before bed would hinder you?

I have the same problem and they also gave me trazadone. Threw that away after about 2 months, trazadone is also used as an anti depressant so it was messing with me. Is cannabis legal in NC? That's the only thing I can think of, over the counter sleep remedies don't work and the prescription stuff is pretty serious stuff sometimes (like ambien for example).

Edit: Just saw your post about no herb. If not open to smoking than your pretty much out of luck if you don't like the trazadone. Exercise more is all I can think of, otherwise it's prescription meds if you plan on sleeping lol.

I never have a problem with it and use snus regularly when I go to sleep. My favorite is Northerner snus because it won't stain your teeth and it will stay affixed to your gums. The only time I have a hard time sleeping is when it is hot. I love to fall asleep when it is very cold.

Thats what I was thinking. I don't really like the idea of medical marijuana but I do think it is far better for you to smoke a little pot before bed than take may of the prescription medications out there. Perhaps you can try and smoke it in a bong with ice water to cool it off a bit or make brownies out of it if the idea of smoking it doesn't appeal to you.

for weed it will depend on how you are when stoned, and certain strains will do different things. Usually a Sativa will give you an energetic high (a pure sativa or a dominant one), An Indica would be your best bet for a sleep aid. But result will vary. My sister smokes some of my stash and it doesn't matter what strain it is shes really energetic and paranoid as F when blazed. But wouldn't hurt to try LOL.

Have you heard of Vaporizing Pot before ?? no smoke just a light vapor you inhale does the job without the nasty burning taste and smell and won't permeate the air around you so your neighbors won't know your using it and there are many vaporizers out there that are very small and compact easy to hide away , the smallest most portable and discreet is the Magic Flight Launch box

Listen, I've had sleep issues for years .... have you been on a substance of any sort and now in withdrawal?

Do you have no activity, or maybe a very stressful lifestyle ?

                          Have you quit smoking ?

                          Do you eat properly ?

I have to know a bit about your lifestyle and the things you do on regular basis... the sleep issues definitely have a cause.....

Some people might not believe me but I've been staying awake once for 20 days in a row ! Yes 20 days.... and that was in a Xanax Withdrawal .... my last quit from 3 mg a day.... was pretty nasty .... the symptoms were very similar to those of an heavy alcoholic ...

Shift work here too, so sleep can be a big problem.
I take 50 mg of Phenergan and it's nighty nighty snoozy snooze for me.
It's not addictive and it hits me like a hammer.

Magic flight launch box ftw! I also have an iolite which is the coolest toy I think I own, it's a portable butane powered vaporizer.
