Love hot sauce, put it on almost everything...except steak, that's just wrong My everyday sauce is Franks, if I can't get Franks then Texas Pete, then Tobasco. I love Tobasco green sauce too. Anyone else love hot sauce on their french fries?
Absolutely. I like the fries drowning in it. I hardly ever eat steak, but it's always a big debate whether I want to use hot sauce, or Worcestershire sauce :^D
The green, and poop brown one are fairly spicey. Not mind blowingly hot, but on the upper range of the typical American's tolerance. They're very dry, without the vinegar of the Louisianna sauces, or the fruitiness of the Costa Rican sauces. Fairly unique from my experience.
No. This one. It looked good and had that nice low price that I like. I am disappoint. I expect more spice from a habanero sauce but it is tasty so at least I will use it....but more for the flavor than the spice. Also the hole in the stopper is a bit too small for my liking.
They had the poop brown one of theone you posted and just the regulars. I will have to try the Yucatano next time I'm at the store.
Good call in the OP on Yucatan Sunshine habanero sauce. That stuff is amazing, and has a lot of complexity and a little sweetness beyond the habs. It's not as spicy as it sounds. Like Blue said sambal is awesome, especially on fish and with stir-fried rice noodles. I prefer the house-made chili sauces in Vietnamese and Chinese restaurants over Sriracha; one of these days I think it would fun to make my own. Sgreger, Sriracha is not Japanese! A Californian ought to know better, son. But what you do with or how you regard your cock sauce is your business and yours alone.
When I was in Mexico, I bought this cup of sliced vegetables that came with a chili sauce and it was amazing! I tried to get the guy's recipe but he said he inherited it from his grandma and did not want to share. There are lots of street venders there that will cut up cucumbers, melons or mango's and put them in a cup with chili sauce over it. A very convenient and healthy lunch.
I like spicy jams quite a bit. Love it on all white meats table side. I am brining and roasting a 7 lb pork loin tomorrow for my whole family for dinner after a mass that is offered up for my Father. You can bet there will be apple sauce and spicy Jam on the table. Yeah I will be in Church tomorrow around 11:00 am CST so if you feel the earth quake a bit you'll know I just crossed the threshold. ;>)
