Refusing to fly because of the increasing invasiveness of TSA requirements and excessive bitching and moaning about how they can see your peter or touch your tittie = "being babies". In my opinion. Sorry I called anyone babies, we just don't see eye to eye. I look forward to getting on planes, even though it's such a ridiculous hassle, because I'm going somewhere far away. And I like that. Not being allowed to to bring water through security is what drives me ****ing nuts, or having to go through twice. Heathrow makes a game of how many times they can make you line up like cows and go through security checks all for the same flight. Thank god for snus. We go through security less often, for those of us who used to go all the way outside during a layover for a smoke then come back through security. But I hear you though Blue, stand up for your rights all you want, I'm all for it. But when it comes time for me to get out of here and get on a plane, I will be doing what they need me to do to get on the plane and use the ticket I already paid for.

I love you roo, it's just I guess we come from different perspectives. I am quite happy never going any where. I am especially happy not to have to go anywhere under these draconian measures. If you find the trade off is ok for you, do what you have to do. But I am pretty sure most people in America 9And the world)are pissed right now and this is a great opportunity for we the people to snatch a victory against the elites. You gotta know that none of this is done for our safety at least.......

Aw shit I love you too Blue. And I just checked out your Opt Out link. I think everything you are saying about it (and Paul) is right on the money. It is absolutely absurd how security is handled in this country (it's a lot better in most others I've been to -- shoes on, water bottle full, no groping, adequate signage for passport/immigration control instead of Customs and Borders Agents screaming at everyone to form two lines, etc). What appalls me is that people opt out of air travel altogether -- but then I thought about it by my second post, and realized that like you yourself said, lots of people are content to stay put and don't want to go anywhere that requires air travel in the first place. I don't get it, but it's certainly a legitimate stance, so again, sorry y'all for calling anyone a baby. 10 more minutes and I get to go home and drink beer and eat a pot roast that's been in the crockpot since 7AM. Hell yeah.

Don't let Roo fool you. He's actually going to go home and drink a mikes hard lemonade and then off finish his last season of "Friends" he couldn't get to during his marathon last weekend. Then he's going to gobble a bowl of cocks. But believe what you want

One of my friends is upset about this because he has 2 little girls. He said, "so my choices are someone sees them naked on screen (and eventually online since all the images are ending up online) or someone gets to fondle them, how am I supposed to react as a father?"

Happily I have no kids lol

You took it wrong, my "lol" was in reference to the fact that if I did have kids I would not at all stand for this and not sure how I would react if I were there. Which is why I posted it in the first place.

it has nothing to do with the drug trade, Our country is well documented in supporting drug trafficking what a ****ing joke. when th taliban was in charge there was no opiom production in afghanistan. believe what you want people, but that is US marines gaurding the fields but buying the rudimentary tools they use to harvest it,,,,,,, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh **** me!

With all due respect Blue, i feel you are oversimplifying the taliban's stance on opium cultivation. The taliban has allowed and dissalowed opium production for various reasons. Even in 2000 afghanistan produced 75% of the worlds opium, though it is much higher now, because the taliban authorises it even though muslims are not allowed to use it. The heathens in the west use it and therefore the taliban sells it to finance their operations.

They do not grow it themselves, rather they have an elaborate tax system by which they take their cut from local farmers. At times they have even issued decrees that opium production is to cease, but then they allow a small amount of growers to continue cultivating it, hence creating a shortage and raising the price.

US troops then defend the opium industry because for many afghans it is their only way or earning a living, as opium farmers. By destroying them we destroy the local population and that hurts one of our major goals which is winning the hearts and minds of the people. Therefore us troops are once again caught in a lose/lose situation where we inevitably play into the hand the taliban wants.

It is not so simple as saying the taliban doesnt allow it, or that the us is letting it happen on purpose. This is a large industry that is integral to the economy of their nation, and therefore a delicate and complicated matter which is often oversimplified for political purpose.

This whole thing is really irritating. I am supposed to fly out of Omaha at the end of December into Newark on my way to New York. Both airports are listed as having these scanners. I don't want to have to be exposed to radiation and have naked pictures taken of me or groped just to go and spend time with my future wife. I do not want her to have to go through any of that either. Despite how badly i want to see her, i don't know if i could submit myself to this molestation.
