Why are they doing this? Seriously I'm sure it's going to be about ten minutes before some muslim woman sues that she doesn't want to do the body scan or be patted down and then the policy will be worthless after a guy walks on a plane in a burkha with a fake Id. That or next thing you know they'll shove a bomb where the sun don't shine and for me that's the end of commercial air travel. I'm also thinking part of this has to do with job security for the TSA.

It's unreasonable to require you to be viewed naked and/or fondled by some GED graduate to travel freely across the nation.

What happens the first time someone sneaks explosives into a tampon?

What happen's the first time a mall is blown up, will I have to go through a porn scanner to go shopping? Will my children have to be xrayed before they can enter Toy's-R-Us?

Statisticly the chance of a terrorist attack occuring on a plane is so remarkably low that I am willing to risk it. It's not worth the amount of money and energy we expend trying to stop a terrorist. PLUS, it does not actually stop terrorists. Some idiot got on the plane last christmas with NO passport and managed to set his nuts on fire with a faulty explosive. Smart enough to evade our multi-billion dollar security initiatives, but too stupid to set off a bomb.

Luckily: Ron Paul has introduced the American Traveler Dignity Act

1 airport has already kicked the TSA out (as they are legally allowed to do), and are instead going with a private firm.

The DA here in San Fran has announced that he will prosecute any TSA employee who improperly touches someone during a search.

The rebellion is working. If it doesn't stop here, someday this will be what you have to do to get to work:

It is all about making money. One of the biggest pusher's of getting these scanners everywhere is also heavily tied into the companies that are selling them. (Chertoff), our former head of homeland security. Most people are not informed on what the real deal is so they just accept their slavery.

I've been hoping for the "fly at your own risk" airline. Cut the paranoid crap out. Have a few agents with common sense. Give me a good price on seats. Just let us get from point a to point b without the knee-jerk hassles. On my last trip to asia, I even looked into buying a spot on a private plane and found most of them are even being subjected to the same BS.

And people wonder why I avoid flying at all costs.

Yah, I think it would be really popular if they did that. I would use it. I fear not of a terrorist attack. Security is more hassle than it's worth.

Then again, they would probably do some kind of false-flag BS like sending some idiot onto the "fly at your own risk" airline with a fake bomb and then they would pass legislation to install body scanners there too.

Do tell. You would rather drive for 3 days to get from coast to coast or take a 3-week boat trip to Asia? Or if you needed to go to London, you would drive to the East Coast and catch some kind of cruise ship or maybe buy a bunk on some kind of tanker if you can pull a few strings? I don't know how one arranges boat travel anymore, but that's because I arrange air travel. I understand that it's all a big hassle, and usually too expensive and terribly inefficient, but it sure is better to spend 6-15 hours traveling *really* far away on a plane with the airport bullshit and crappy onboard services than the alternative. Having said that, I am obsessed with boat travel and would love to go to Asia or beyond by sea someday. But just once... any other time I need to get more than 500 miles from my house, it's a hell of a lot more convenient to fly.
