But my real question is, should be worried about my friend John Conner, or for that matter the strange feelings I have about his mother?

I agree, in a very short amount of time we have gone from keeping money under the mattresses, saving for things we want to buy, buying quality american products etc, to buying everything on credit and doing nothing but consuming. Then the government is constantly pushing this too, saying not to save money but instead go out and spend to stimulate the economy. But i'm glad to see the trend going in the opposite direction. People are paying off debt, cutting consumption, and increasing savings, which is really what ultimately leads to financial success.

Americans are not financially literate and the concept of savings and limiting consumption are not taught in school (and neither is spelling, judging by my posts), rather the colleges all push the concept of stimulating everyone else by spending all of your hard earned money.

We are refinancing right now to take advantage of interest rates. I was told the only reason I am below the excellent credit line is I don't have enough credit cards. In short because I have gone ahead and paid off an closed accounts I was not using any more I have hurt my credit. I find that amazing.

I blame it all on GM!

Yah story of my life. I had to pay a deposit to the damn electric company when setting up my apartment yesterday due to my credit. I said, "But I have excelent credit, infact ive recently paid off all of my accounts and have no debt left, and closed all but 1 credit card for emergencies, and now I just deal with cash, does that not make me obviousely financially trustworthy", their short answer: "no". Apparently only being in constant debt to anyone and everyone is the only way to have "good credit", which is the exact opposite of how it ought to be.

I have decided to open up a few more credit accounts and not use them much or use them and pay off quickly. Mostly shopping for stuff that gives me rewards. I had a long fight to get here. My father and I have (well had, he is deceased) just about the same name (I am the III). Anyway to transunion that plus the same address meant the same darn person back in the day. Took forever to get that stuff cleared up. However the whole time Sears insisted that I had a Sears card that I did not have. Insisted, that is right up till the day I got one.

So I was about to get married and about to buy a house, my wife and I go to Sears and found the fridge we wanted for the new house. For s***s and giggles I say hey let me sign up for a sears card, knowing the application would knock 10% off the price, why the heck not. They came back and told me I was now a sears card member. I found that funny as could be. They even gave us 6 months no interest and no payments. So here some more karma kicks in. We move in, new fridge delivered, first month sears card bill is 0 due, 0 finance charges, and of course the balance. I say nah just start making payments on it now. Apparently they had a glitch in their 6 months no interest no payments system that if you never take advantage, as in you just start paying even though you aren't billed as owing anything the original 6 months did not start. So I had an interest free Sears card for 4 years. I guess they caught the glitch.

Sweet, you should have opened an online store and sold them at a 4% markup lol.

Why would someone buy them? I didn't get the items for cheaper, just a revolving interest free credit line.

Cheaper in the long run than interest credit but also the same as cash unless you figure opportunity cost. So I would have to buy the item, then sell it at the same price and then use extra cash invested to gain interest.

So it turns out there was more to the story than the short video showed. What happened was Rand Paul showed up in his car and she rushed him and either hit him in the face or tried pushing something in his face like maybe a flyer or something, at which point the security guards started chasing her. She then went aroudn to the other side of the car and attampted to get him again and this time the security guards wrestled her to the ground, then some redneck put his foot on her head and everyone was like "cummon man stop that, don't do that, stop", and he stopped.

So really this girl was bringing it on herself. I wonder what would happen if some tea partier tried to Rush the president?

This reminds me of when MoveOn.org people beat up that black dude rodney king style because he was siding with the tea party. All these people are the same.
