Keep it simple. They could just call them Luckies. That's what most people over here call their Lucky Strikes anyway.

The thing is though, even with a rebranded product, unless they stick a load of money into marketing it it's just not going to generate as much return as pushing the product into their domestic market.

It pains me to say, but SnusOn's membership's combined needs probably only equates to a couple of tenths of a percent of the Swedish domestic market, if that. So not really enough to bother about - especially given the extra costs of having to market into such a big country with such a small (in percentage terms) user base. Saturation advertising would just be too expensive for the returns generated, and highly targeted marketing still wouldn't give the payback. Especially when you condsider that being unable to use the "Lucky Strike" brand would really mean you'd be launching an unknown product with no existing brand equity - and the brand equity would be the only thing that could possibly make it a success in the US.

Headquartered in Malmรถ, Sweden, Fielder & Lundgren is probably the oldest snus manufacturing name in Sweden. Started as a company in 1835, F & L's history has been full of name changes but one thing that has stayed consistent thru out it's 175 year existence, is it's commitment to producing quality Swedish snus.

Even though the company was started in 1835, it was Samuel Fielder who applied for permission to manufacture snus in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1785. Today, Fielder & Lundgren produces
