So that's the first issue; opening the tin wasn't as easy as running a fingernail around the edge. I was already 'jones-ing' and driving at the same time, so my patience was thin enough. But I found a pen to crack the seal and managed to not get killed in a car accident on the freeway. So far so good.

So I then pried open the top to find... hmm? There's a "freshness seal". Tres cool. I managed to get that off too without killing myself. It must've been my 'lucky' day.

I put in a portion (original, btw) and kept waiting for it to juice up enough to taste. After a few minutes of getting nothing, I pulled the portion down with my tongue, wetted it a bit, then smashed it against the roof of my mouth to squeeze out some flavor. Snus Fail.

I choked. It was a bit more potent than I was expecting. Note to self: Don't do that anymore.

Anyway... after using LS exclusively for over 24 hrs, I feel I can comment.

I REALLY wanted to love this snus. Really, I did. I imagined this would knock Pall Mall from it's #1 position. Sadly, I'm not sure it makes my top 5.

The flavor is actually really good. For me, though, there's something in it that causes my throat to tighten to the point that I choke unlike other snuses (what's the plural of "snus", anyway)? It truly reminded me of my very first Oliver Twist. The flavor is good, but the overall experience isn't as enjoyable as others have been.

Finally... the can kicks ass and I will likely use it to carry my daily supply of other snuses going forward. Well, unless I can get someone to buy an empty one on eBay for $2.
      Meta,

I have a suggestion for you. Try the Lucky Strike White. Similar flavor, but not as aggressive. For me, at least, I have come to truly love the Lucky Strike White. And btw, I am a huge Pall Mall fan as well.

I was never a huge fan of Lucky Strike cigarettes, but the snus is pretty damn good. I like Ettan a lot too, but I was looking for something with a stronger tobacco flavor. The LS portions definitely has this. It is a little saltier, but that is fine with me. I think it has the best can too. I would have no worries about it drying out on me. I liked it so much that for my 3rd order I picked up a roll of it rather than Ettan or Grov like I had originally planned. Retro was also suggested and I have a can of that on the way too. I would love to see BAT bring this to the U.S.

I really like Lucky Strike on occasion. I prefer the original, but the whites aren't bad at all.

Also, it goes extremely well with coffee. If you haven't tried L.S. with coffee, you don't know what you're missing.

thought I would give a bit of an uncommon review:

as some of you know, I ran out of petty cash a few weeks ago and 2 great men from the board donated me rolls of one of my "top snuses": lucky strike.

I was of course grateful, but also worried that I would get burned out on it when I go to place my next order. much the opposite had happened. I now know that I will never, ever be without lucky strike as my "go-to". Sure, there are times when I'd like to switch it up, but I never feel a tinge of being upset if I have to "settle" for this great snus.

On the other hand, my roll of ettan was incredibly hard to power through(lasting 3 cans before I got tired of it) and every time I used it thereafter felt like some kind of compromise. I won't buy it again. I had my fill.

lucky strike(regular, btw) is the first snus that I haven't felt a moment of exhaustion from.

Glad you are liking the Lucky Strike at least.

But reason I rarely order rolls. I have found that too much of any good snus starts to turn on me. I really need to mix it up every few days.

And remember, as I said before, you find yourself in need again, PLEASE PM me. Between the V2 test snuses I am expecting, the snus I am getting for selling my carbon tin (that I got for free), and my General Sampler pack coming in, I have a bunch of snus I haven't paid anything for coming. So have extra snus money I don't mind sharing coming up. So know that offer remains on the table...

That's the way it's supposed to work. A year ago, I went through winter with no heat. Today, I am a 1000 times better off. But I will never forget what that was like.

I finally received my order with my Lucky Strike regular and white portion.

I never tried their cigs, so I can't compare. But I really can't imagine any snus tasting like a cigarette, thankfully.

I have to say, I really like the Lucky Strike white portion. It will defiantly be one I will buy a roll of. I must add, this is an extremely comfortable white portion. has anyone else noticed that it feels awesome in your mouth?

I didn't care for the LS regular, but I'll give it another shot at some point.

If anything, I ordered these just for the cans.

I'm happy that I gave them a try and found another one I like to keep on hand.

I love lucky strikes, white and original. Someone mentioned it has a similar taste profile as 1847 but without the windex and I tend to agree. 1847 was just too over the top where as LS is a real nice easy going snus.

I usually get a can or two on each order to supplement my GR #2.

I have never really liked the regular. But when I found the whites, I was in heaven. The Whites are definitely one of my favorites and one I recommend a lot here.

I've now had a LS white portion in for 2 hrs and still very satisfied

I was finding I had a freezer full of Strong snus that I love and very little in the way of regular octane stuff.

This is one regular white portion that doesn't end up annoying me after 20, 30 min

I too am a huge LS fan both white and regular. Its the first brand I've tried that on finishing the last portion I had to sing a verse of "all outta love". This will for sure be one that stays in my top 5. I have to agree with the other 1847 reviews though. Its a bit like someone took a decent snus, put it in a very pretty can, and then sprayed ammonia in it.

Headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, Fielder & Lundgren is probably the oldest snus manufacturing name in Sweden. Started as a company in 1835, F & L's history has been full of name changes but one thing that has stayed consistent thru out it's 175 year existence, is it's commitment to producing quality Swedish snus.

Even though the company was started in 1835, it was Samuel Fielder who applied for permission to manufacture snus in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1785. Today, Fielder & Lundgren produces
