Northerner US or Sweden warehouse?

The first time I ordered from Northener I got some dip from the US warehouse, along with an order of snus from the Swedish warehouse. The US order took over a month to arrive and I had to pay something like $14 duty on a roll of dip and a plug of chew, which is still pretty good considering the price of dip in Canada. The Swedish order took a while as well, but there was no duty. After the first order I have received my packages in as little as five days from Sweden.

Man, CBSA at your point of entry (cape breton, east coast) must be LAZY. you never hear stories like yours from ontarians or people from BC lol.

Also, it must be that your province has a different tax and duty bracket for tobacco. Ontarios, BC's and Quebecs are fairly high for importing tobacco

wow just got a package with 2 rolls in it , the CBSA nazi's want $196.74 for it OUCH!!!!!!! 1 roll of portions 1 roll of loose I sent it back to the PO but will probably go there tomorrow and pick it up but wow can't believe I got hit this hard

still haven't had a shipment taxed or conficated when shipping to canada or the EU.

ya and what I ordered was the expired Snus from Northerner so I have no idea what it is I'm gonna see if they will let me open it to see what it is , but I think I will just bite the $26 it cost me from northerner and just order from SC and get it shipped to Washington , I still have lots in my freezer I just thought I'd gamble and see if I got a deal well in the words of Deal or no Deal , No Deal CBSA Nazi's !!!

As sick as that seams, smokes are $10 a pack and a tin of dip is $15, $11.14 is a steal. Canadians get bent over for tobacco, boose and just about everything else.

Two orders came today, 7 tins for me, CBSA's cut was $38.27. Worked out to be $10.77 a tin.

Just yesterday I picked up an order form Northerner, 40 cans and 4 small tins of snuff... $426 in taxes and duty. I'm not happy with Northerner for shipping it all in one box, BuySnus knows better. Also one of my containers of snuff only has about 1/3 left in it. All in all not very happy, but its to be expected when ordering to Canada.

426$ that is outrageous, man I feel your pain, have not ordered in a while and this kind of stuff makes me think and rethink to order to Canada, do you live close to a US city? I order there more often than to Canada

Hey Guys,

I recently had two shipments come in.. one for 9 cans that got dinged 78.55. I notice that they charged me both HST @ 8.69 as well as PST @ 37.57 on top of Duty at 27.79.

The only thing I am wondering is about the PST... I live in New Brunswick and we don't even have PST here. Anyone know if I should have been charged that at all?

Im thinking this is where the hide the tobacco tax.

Well, my latest order was for a roll of General OP and a tin of Onyx. Northener threw in a free tin of Chaini Khaini Saffron as well. I doubt I'll even bother to try it as it smells awful. Anyway, the package was nailed by customs for my biggest hit so far: $54.00. Not too bad. I just wonder if it would've been less if it weren't for the tin of Chaini Khaini...

I got nailed today for $62 for 4 cans of Los and a Prismaster so I dont look so ghetto with my syringe. I made them return it to the CBSA for reassessment. They better open the damn thing and weigh the contents because theres no way I'm paying for the weight of the packaging and the prismaster. (Minimal I know) but that $62 is $0.35 a gram.

Once I find a portion I like as much as Los, I'll be ordering %100 from the auctions here.
