I sure don't understand Northereners price for Discreet snus

    It's $2.47.

If Getsnus can sell it for $.99 and I assume they are making a profit on it, then Northerners price is just plain ridicules.

They are selling form their US location so I would think exchange rates for dealing with a foreign company don't enter into the equation.

Usually the price from one company to another, when I'm shopping around for different brands of Snus, maybe $.25 a can at most.

I sure don't understand this. (but I think I'll place my order for this with Getsnus)

First, about half the vendors are selling it for that. Only Getsnus and maybe one other I saw had it for $0.99.

Second, I think Northerner isn't trying to sell this to it's American customers. Figure we have other routes for it if we want. Northerner is selling it everyone outside the US who can't pay just $0.99 as Getsnus won't ship outside of the US.

Remember. Number one reason Northerner set up US warehouse is to sell American stuff to folks overseas who want it. The US market was not the reason they set it up.

See Frank feels sorry for us because we can no longer buy Camel and Lucky Strike from Sweden so he jacked up the price of Discreet so we'd have something to trade with our EU penpals.

      ...or not.

It should be $0.99 because the store in Des Moines sells it for that price. Any more and its just rediculouse.

Then don't buy it from them. Again, you are not their intended customer.

That I didn't know. I thought the American location was for faster shipping to people in the US.

No, and Frank has posted about this before. Prime purpose is to sell American stuff that is just not easily available to Europeans and others around the world. Yes, it can be useful to us but selection of snus is still limited. But.... next growth step is to make a bunch more snus avaiable for us. But right now, it is mainly for the rest of the world

So stock Lucky Strike snus in the US warehouse and charge a dollar extra. BOOM done deal.

Even more illegal than Buysnus sending it here. The company that owns the international rights to that name does NOT own it here. So no way Northerner could ever legally sell it from the states.

This is the reason. Even if Frank had not posted the reasoning behind the U.S. warehouse, it's still apparent why it exists. It's a utility for customers outside the U.S.

You can draw your own conclusions from what was posted. Some see tomato. Some see tomatoe.

Guys, thank you very much for letting me know. There is an error with that price. We have changed that now, we will contact the manufacturer to see if we can purchase for lower price and lower it further more. I'm surprised some offer it for $0.99, maybe they just want to get rid of their stock...? I will investigate if we can buy larger volumes and be able to beat it

Thank you Frank. I thought the price just seemed odd.

I thought I had missed something when everyone was saying the American market you set up was primarily for the market outside the US.
The only info I could find that you posted about was..

Yes, eventually, the faster shipping and better service is of course a Northerner goal. But obviously, looking at the very small amount of snus it actually offers from the US, that is part of phase two. And Frank has said that Northerner will be eventually carrying a much broader line here.

But today, we are still not the focus. Northerner only offers 5 snus shipped from the US, all General, the very same snus you can go into a local tobacco store and buy so really, what is the purpose.

Today, that warehouse is serving their European customers. I'll deal with tomorrow when I see it come.
