150 bonus points for a tin of thunder????? - now that's an escalation and a half.

Whoever's in charge of their business plan and their website needs sacking...........my two year olds got a better concept of business than that twazzock.

I've got no problems with price rises but they should be gradual. Bonus point rises - ditto. If somebody has cocked up and not foreseen that these rises would have been needed means that they need to recoup some money, and quick, as someone must have made a serious **** up - either that or their business plan is completely non existent.

It has already gone down to 149 points, and the Phantom Brown is now down to 80 points. Again, I suspect Northerner is just in process of making some changes and we are seeing it before it is finished.

I suspect you're right sage - but there doesn't seem to be much thought, rhyme or reason in this whatsoever. Usually you work out how you're going to do it and have it up and running within a day.

lol They're not that far from us in this part of the world but a mate of mine is over there at the moment and via Facebook he says it's shit. :? which is a bit harsh - after all he hasn't tried snus which is of course great.

If this is the case then they should put up some kind of notice on their web site about it.

              Something like......
"Hey, we've all been drunk lately and screwing around with the web site. Soon as we sober up we'll straighten things out."

One thing I haven't seen mentioned, and it may or may not be relevant in this case, is that the prices we see and pay when ordering from Sweden are most likely affected by currency exchange rates.

I haven't really been keeping up with it lately. Has the Dollar been sliding at all against the Euro or the SEK? If so, that might be a partial explanation.

That's actually entirely possible, since they just use an automatic converter most likely. It'll be tied to an accurate index of exchange rates, so it could fluctuate pretty rapidly.

that seems possible. i dont know though, snuscentral and buysnus are both in sweden too, and the prices between the 3 sites are completely different.

it definitely feels like the stock market, its ridiculous, i went ahead and ordered a bunch of shit cause i figured, if i dont do it now, im gonna see a big price raise and be pissed at myself for waiting.

They are connected but the prices have far outpaced any devaluation of the dollar

                        LD lossnus / single can
                        07/20 $1.98
                        08/10 $2.35
                        08/11 $2.60
                        08/12 $2.69 = 35.8% increase

                        Retro original portions / roll
                        07/20 $21.70
                        08/10 $23.70
                        08/11 $26.20
                        08/12 $27.10 = 24.8% increase

Exchange rate Swedish Kronas to 1 USD
                        2009-07-20 Monday, July 20 7.73883 SEK
                        2009-08-10 Monday, August 10 7.19117 SEK
                        2009-08-11 Tuesday, August 11 7.30524 SEK
2009-08-12 Wednesday, August 12 7.2446 SEK 6.8% decrease in the value of the USD

                        LD lossnus 35.8 % vs 6.8%
                        Retro portion/roll 24.8% vs. 6.8%

and that doesn't include the negative changes to the bonus point program.

Well, I now have some piece of mind thanks to this code. I got a relatively cheap order in for my first roll, getting 10 cans of Skruf Stark lös, and a can from the bag o' snus option, for just under $35. I wasn't too keen on ordering a roll just now, because I know it's not recommended to get one for a while, but I'm planning on building up my reserves, with a few orders of about 6 or 7 rolls from various flavours that come up most in my rotation, and then placing smaller ones to try out new stuff 3-5 cans at a time. I hope Skruf Stark lös doesn't turn on me, because it's my go to snus, just about every third or fourth pris. I think I get enough variety in, I should be able to make them last until at least December, though. I've now got 34 cans stockpiled, once my orders from snuscentral and Northerner show up. Just hope they arrive by next Friday morning, so they don't have to sit in a warehouse over the weekend.

Now that that code won't work, I think for the most part, I'll skip snuscentral and just use buysnus. The 6th roll will pay off for me, even if it's a bit more expensive. I've got a fridge that needs to be filled.

I hope Northerner decide to add some different snus to their bonus products. I'm pretty stuffed at the moment as I'm not into V2 or mini portion snus. Would be good if they could add Knox or bring back some General or something.
