Never had a problem. Always get my order in 3-4 days (in Ohio) and they never forget anything. Awesome service.

You all are correct, I just made my second order with them and the total was 51 bucks, as soon as I hit 50 the shipping came off my total. My order is coming ups instead of the post office so I am scheduled for delivery on tuesday. My last smaller order I made came usps and it was here in 48 hours. They definately seem to be a good place to order from, I just hope they expand their selection a bit.

I apologize to anyone who has ordered from GetSnus based on my recommendation and has run into problems.

Of course I am not affiliated with them in any way, I was just passing on what I thought was a good tip.

I just placed my second order with them yesterday and it was as smooth as could be.

One thing I can say is that I always CALL them on the 800 number to order. I tried to order online from BuySnus and ran into that age verification glitch. Then I tried to call them to no avail. That's why I went looking elsewhere and stumbled upon GetSnus.

Again, I called, spoke with a really nice, helpful gent, placed my order on the phone just yesterday and the shipment came today. Free shipping AND I got my free "mystery can" of Ettan.

Anyway, it seems like some of you have had problems, but I've been lucky. I am glad to see they are expanding their collection.

At the very least, they seem honest, eager to please and apparently try to stay on top of things. I'll continue to use them.

This is becoming more and more clear to me. You all know I don't have any affiliation with any of these companies, just disenfranchised by buysnus.

            MY last order from Buysnus....

            General ONYX Portion
            Knox portion
            Lucky Strike White Portion
            Retro White
            Elixyr Power Energy portion
            Pall Mall Original
            Röda Lacket Claq Qui
            Thunder

8 different snus, of which Getsnus carries only 2 of them. Kind of makes the price discussion kinda ridiculous unless you just like what Getsnus sells. Other than that, I ain't gonna bother until they expand their selection

My last post wasn't in advocacy of getsnus. In fact, I see it as slightly against them. If you're not ordering $50 of strictly Swedish Match/V2/Gotland, you're not ordering from the right place.

I don't see it being ridiculous to compare prices of what each company DOES offer.

I'll now compare apples with apples (as I did in my previous post).

              SWEDISH-SNUS
              Claq Qui, Strong Portion 1 $ 3.01
Elixyr Power Energy, Strong Portion 1 $ 2.33
              General Onyx, White Portion 1 $ 3.70
              Knox, Portion 1 $ 2.14
              Lucky Strike, White Portion 1 $ 2.69
              Pall Mall, Original Portion 1 $ 3.01
              Retro, White Portion 1 $ 2.53
              Thunder Extra Stark, Portion 1 $ 3.20
              Price: $ 22.60
              Delivery cost: $ 6.94
              Total: $ 29.55
              Charged in USD: $ 29.55

              BUYSNUS
              - Shopping cart - (USD)
              Product Qty Price
              Elixyr Power Energy portion 1 = 2.97
              General ONYX Portion 1 = 4.67
              Knox portion 1 = 2.07
              Lucky Strike White Portion 1 = 3.45
              Pall Mall Original 1 = 3.80
              Retro White 1 = 3.11
              Röda Lacket Claq Qui 1 = 3.80
Thunder Extra Strong Original portion 1 = 3.45
              Freight: 6.41
              Order total: 33.73

One is shipped in a box, not liabel to break - the box, or your snus.

One is shipped in a bag.

Harry, I have been doing this for 2 years, never once did I have a snus break in a Buysnus bag. On the other hand, the bag <usually> fits in my mailbox, a box would have to be left on the ground. Not necessarily an issue but still.

I order from Northerner occasionally as well, between 20% and 25% of my orders in fact. I'm not overly price sensitive, unless it is significant. If I were ordering a roll of Onyx, for example, that would probably make a difference. Price within $0.20, I probably wouldn't notice.

But when they use the excuse that their bags "break" causing you to lose close to $100 worth of snus, I feel compelled to use it as a soapbox on which to stand.

I was extremely satisfied with Buysnus. It was the only store I used my first year, until I tried WISE. But even then, buysnus still had 90% of my business.

I looked the other way while they repeatedly mis-packaged my order. Of course they always replaced (3 times).

When I made my largest order ever about a year ago, I was really excited. When it landed 2 weeks from my purchase, missing ALL premium snus, I was livid. I emailed them and received no response for a week. I emailed again, and still no reply. I started emailing daily, and on my fifth try, they replied only with a single sentence, "Was the bag damaged?"

I responded honestly that I could not remember, although I am positive I would have remembered had it not been in tact as usual.

I also found it extremely strange that of the 72 tins of snus I ordered, 40 of which were included in the mixed rolls. The other 32, I had explicitly ordered. Those were the ones that happened to "drop out in the mail", or were "removed by customs". There were 3 of the 32 I had ordered. I chalk that up to blind luck and the "Mixed rolls"

After a back and forth, they hesitantly offered something like... "If you ask for us to replace them, I guess we will, just this ONCE." Not a true offer. I refused. I wasn't asking for a handout.

Give me a break. Keep my hundred dollars. I'll let the other companies keep my future thousands.

The whole issue is, that once Buysnus sends something out, it isn't their responsibility. There's still a chance that the other snus is in a different package, lost somewhere in the mail (I've heard of it happening for around 3 months and then it shows up). It sucks that you lost so much, but at least they were willing to replace it once. The only reason they said it that way, is because they have had lots of people take them up on their generosity to resend it, when in fact they shouldn't have to, and have been scammed for rolls and rolls of snus.

It's a chance you have to take any time you order from overseas that you might lose something. So you either have to do it anyways, or find somewhere like Getsnus for US and have a much more limited selection. There may be less of a chance for something like this from Northerner or Swedish-snus, but I've heard horror stories from ALL of them, so it's just a chance you'll have to take.

Also note that if your order was near $200 total, the chances of it getting caught in customs are MUCH higher.

How could you not "remember". Umm, you are missing $100 of snus and you can't remember if the bag was damaged or not when it showed up??. I'm sorry, I have a hard time believing that

So they DID offer to replace it, but you didn't like the tone? So you refused???

No offense Harry, but I am having a real hard time not finding your story a little....,, not sure I can find a word that is not insulting here.

OK, so you don't like Buysnus, that is your business. But read through every post ever made here, you will not find many, if ANY, other folks having those same issues. If I start hearing other folks having problems, i suppose I might get concerned. And if I EVER have similar problems, I promise I will post them here.

I bought a 350Z when they first were introduced. I had the nd production run ever made. At 11,000 miles, the clutch was bad. Not something normally covered by warrantty, but I made a stink and Nissan North America stepped in and said they would cover it. The dealer called me with the news, but said if it happened again, I would have to pay. I laughed and said I understtod. The bill for that ran to $600. I had the car for another 70,000+ miles with no problems. I am guessing you would have turned the dealer down and paid for it yourself?

I've recanted the story previously in which I made it easy enough for even people who are all blown out, to read.

                        Sorry if it lost you.

The point is, they didn't pack a ton of the snus that I ordered. Only the generic. The bag was not harmed, I just could not in good conscience tell them I was 100% sure. I'm wondering why that's something for which to be ridiculed. You're skipping over the part that it took about 3 weeks to get any response. I didn't save the spunked dress as evidence.

And yes, I refused to ask them to replace. Sorry you can't comprehend that. I told them I wouldn't enjoy snus that in their eyes was a handout (in much kinder words than I use now to describe them). $100 isn't that much money to me, as I'm sure is the case for many people on this board. It wasn't about the money whatsoever.

I disagree with you on another point. I've seen MANY people complaining about buysnus, including a rash of mistakes a few months ago.

You and X seem to always jump to their defense. Let them do the talking with good business practice and be grateful that you have yet to experience anything different, for there are several that can not say that.

What's with the little jab at the end? You're getting personal for no reason. If a clutch ran dry on a car I purchased and it wasn't covered by warranty, I wouldn't even think to "make a stink".

But then again, you find merit in Marx...maybe you, me, buysnus and the CEO of Nissan can all plow neighboring tracts of vegetables.

I am done. Now folks can take what Harry says about Buysnus, and better judge for themselves how they want to apply that. That's all I wanted out of this and Harry has done a great job showing were he is coming from with all of this.
